I seen on the news last night theses scumbags protesting against military funerals. It made me sick. These scumbags are putting down people who fight and die for our freedoms. I would love theses stupid scumbags who protest to show up in my area. I would like to say I would drive my truck through theses scumbags but why waste my gas and get in trouble. I will be there to guard the family and friends from theses scumbags like the bikers do. As an American I will do my civilian duty on the home front to help out and protect these PATRIOTS and there family.GOD BLESS THESES PATRIOTS!!!!!

I heard about this too. It is a christan group. There is a group of bikers that go to military funrels to block to idiots & support the family. I can't rember the name of the mc group. It's people from all over the country. It's hard to belive that some one has not just knocked the guy out yet. I guess most just know that they are not worth the time.

Freedoms in our country is for everyone. That is what freedom is. Even for the people who don't think like you. I can't say it is right or wrong just because it is against what I think. I was in the Navy and carried the caskets in Beirut when they exploded the truck bombs outside the american embassy and the marine camp. The things that people do and people say often sicken me, but they have freedoms too.

Freedom is a misunderstood concept. Freedom does NOT mean 'anything goes'. Freedom has limits and responsibilities, too. My freedoms end where yours begin, and vice versa. Our freedoms are often referred to as Rights. I have the Right to say whatever I want about anything I want, same as you. The old 'shouting fire in a crowded theatre' example is a good one. Sure, you can do it, but you will be held responsible for any deaths and injuries that result of you exercising your Right to free speach. As long as you remember your responsibilty that goes with your freedoms and avoid violating other peoples Rights while you exercising your own, no problems will occur.

People who think they are doing a good thing by protesting at funerals are not very bright. Sure, they have the Right to say what they want, but they know they are causing grief to others and, therefore, bear some of the responsibility when someone beats the hell out of them. I'm not saying it is ok to beat people up, but, as an example, a really good method to keep from being beaten in a bar fight is to not go to the bar in the first place.

Take your protest to a proper venue. A funeral is a private affair for a grieving family. Inflaming people who are already emotionally wrecked is a good way to have your own funeral put on the calendar. Your killer may not be justified in killing you, but that won't make you less dead. Use common sense and use a proper venue. :)

That pretty well sums it up. When you begin to use whether or not someting is a "legal right" as your compass for ethical decency, then you are truly morally bankrupt. One way to define corruption is how far a person is capable of straying from ethical behavior, and still remain within the law. Thats what lawyers are for.

That issue has even come up on these forums because we will not allow anything and everything to be posted. I have a right to speak my mind but if I choose to do it in your livingroom, you have a right to throw me out.
