Made an investment yesterday in a pressure washer.
Got a 1700 PSI Karcher washer with soap or degreaser bottle built in.
Washer is electric, has excellent power to wash away that chain goo that builds up around case. Could not go wrong for 99.00.
I have been needing one for my lawn mower, vehicles, BBQ, bird crap on siding of house, ETC.
Was getting sick of giving hard earned cash to car wash down the road.
Parts are replaceable and if you are on a budget and need a decent pressure washer, this type is pretty good! :w00t:

powerwashers are fun to use...don't be suprised if you soon become addicted and commence to powerwash everything in the neighborhood....
but don't be discouraged if your caliber of washer wont knock a sleeping/dormant snail off a wall
using the pencil beam tip makes a great leaf blower too:D

Those Karacher's are a big POS. We have the 1600 PSI unit and it blew a hole in the pump a few weeks after we got it....and the stupid thing wouldnt even suck up degreaser/soap in the hose that comes out the side.
I will never have another electric pressure washer again

Hmmm. This one works pretty damn good. Just got done cleaning all trikes.
All that grimey goo on bottom of engines is gone. All the chain goop, gone.
Good thing it has a warranty. Supossed to be a no hassle, call up for replacement warranty.
Might need it because I am going to use the hell out of it.
Sorry to hear yours died on you.

I have a 1400 PSI (electric) Husky brand- which is the Home Depot store brand. It works awesome and I use it about 2 - 3 times a week on everything from the bikes, cars, boat, grill, etc. I abuse the heck out of it and it works great. I even leave it outside and it is sun faded. No problems and is about 2 years old.
Used to have a Campbell-Hausfeld 1300 PSI and it sucked. Lasted about 6 months.
But for 100 bucks, I will just buy a new one every couple years, cause Lord knows I get plenty of use out of it.

Well I can't complain. My wife bought it for me after I told her we needed one. She's cool, she buys me stuff!

I think every ATV person should have one. Easier to get mud off rather than have it dry like a rock on there. Gets rid of chain goo build up so dirt and sand does not stick to it.
All that goo by the exhaust port on motor is gone now.
I was sick of going to the rip off car wash down the road because they charge 1.50 for 2 minutes and I could easily dump 6 bucks in that jip joint.
Don't have to load wheeler up.
They are not getting any more of my money. the bastards.

I have a 20 plus yr old electric power washer that will still peel paint off a truck or blister your hand if ya get in it's way for more than a second or 2. Use it every couple weeks in the summer for some job or other. REAL IMPORTANT! don't leave em outside in the winter. 6 below this morning and power washer is setting under a seldom used esk in the office. have fun w/ your new toy!

Yeah. We all know that live in cold what happens with water that freezes inside of things. Expansion, splitting, cracks.
Novel concept is that I read the information sheets and / or instructions with ANYTHING I buy.
I store it in my basement that nothing freezes down there. Even when its 13 below outside, all my cans of wd40, etc. still work. I think the coldest it gets in basement is 55 degrees. Well above freezing.

I've got 1200 psi simoniz brand ( canadian tire store ) .. and love it.
You find yourself cleaning the trike..and then that pesky spot in the drive way.. that leads to the cement steps.. then while you are at it.. you do the storm door.. and realize the siding close to the door looks clean and you keep going a bit further.. then the windows.. and next thing you know.. it's 9pm and the neighbors are staring at their watch wondering when you plan to stop !! lol....
damn addictions..

Be carefull with them. Stickers can be knocked off easily. The big problem is the force of water gettind behind seals that normal water preasure would not penetrate. Swing arm, axle, ect. bearings can rust and premature wear out.
