Under the seat, The seat has a catch at the back you pull and the seta lifts up and the tank is there.

I thought that I read that the tank was located there to help lower the center of gravity thus making the machine more stable. Is that the case? If so it is a good design in my opinion.

Just one less thing to worry about on a Z, thats why I got rid of my underneath tank. I like the top mount fuel tank ALOT better.
