Couple of inaccuracies...
A few of the things I'm "quoted on" are not exactly how I said them but more or less makes the point.
We're not limiting it to 40 riders at one time, just to 40 riders on the track at one time. Timed sessions would be for practice only if there are more then 40 people waiting to get on the track at one time. The other thing was, I never said we wouldn't exceed 98db. I said all new OEM offroad vehicles have to meet an EPA requirement of 98db, and that most racing sanctions now require sound tests within a certain range. One of the board members asked me point blank if someone is just coming in to ride and they have a loud pipe am I going to turn them away, and I said no. But, if after they've been made aware of the fact that their loud pipe has the potential to close the place and they continue to return then I might ask them not to come back until it has been replaced with something a little bit more acceptable. Honestly though, I dont think the sound will be a bad issue once everything is setup. Closest house is a 1/4 mile away and most all of them are more then a mile and a half way. Most important thing is that its not just an open field inbetween the two, theres a bunch of woods, and elevation changes.
Only bad thing is now that one of the more aggressive people that live down our road has learned about it (After the fact) and decided they dont like it. And that because of that, there has been panthers spotted here on our property atleast 3 times in the past so it needs to be preserved when I have infact never even seen any type of cat here except a bobcat before ....   "I'll never be able to ride my horse off of my property now..." wtf, not suppose to be riding them in the middle of the road anyways. Damn.
