If i wanted to port and polish my 86x myself is there any way i could lose performance cause i dont know what ***DONT TYPE AROUND THE WORD FILTERS*** im doing?

Just get out the casting inperfections with a Dremal Tool.That's all you need to do.

Yes you can lose power.

Doubtful that you will lose power, if you go hog wild you can effect the performance at a certain RPM.

Depending on your build you can do it yourself. If its a stock motor, just take out the casting flaws as previously stated. You can also make sure the intake and exhaust matches the head, this will promote flow.

Just don't go bananas removing material, get the exhaust smooth, and take out obvious flow interrupters on both intake and exhaust.
