View Full Version : Caspers uncle "Fatso" showed up!

Just added a rude and crude 86 350X to the stable. Fresh motor but a tad on the rough side, body wise. Pictures will come tommorrow. This is going to be my trail bike but I still plan to at least clean it up some.

Highlights are:
Intact factory toolbox
All original controls, including parking brake
Fresh top-end, including cams, rockers, springs, piston kit, etc.
All good bearings front and rear
New brake pads front and rear
Decent OEM front fender

Drawbacks are:
Rough tank
Holes drilled in the rear plastic for mudflaps
Missing rear mud gaurd
blown suspension (did get another rear shock with it)
rusty parts.

AT LEAST IT DOESN'T HAVE PICK FORK BOOTS! .... DUSTY!!

If anybody has a 225 that should be named stinky it would have to be bruce! :lol: He has/had one over at jeswinehart's place and boy did it stink! they put sea-foam or something in it and it did not smell pretty.

Thats sweet D! Cant wait to see you and B have wheelie races through the fields. Anything aftermarket on it? or is everything stock?

a look for your head light garment maybe? since they just have that little rubber bushing deal, maybe thats for extra security???

Not bad derrick. A fixer-upper. Wayyy better than any Yamaha! :) You know what i think it needs....? A 250sx headlight....You should trade me! lol :)

helmet holder i think....my 85 doesnt have it, but i think i've seen them on 86s. Correct me if I'm wrong.

D you need a headlight guard for that....You're gonna the way you ride!!!

I just pulled the one I had on mine...was gonna get it blasted and pc'd for a spare...but if you need one...I also have a couple brake res guards too.

Not too hateful! I am sure after you spend some mo money....New Plastics and a tank....some scrubbing and sprayin, it will look just fine. BTW, I hope you are NOT gonna run those Banshee Tires... Put the 86 wheels you got off me back on it. They are a bit beat up, but run true. Did you get to ride it at all? If so, first impressions?

What's wrong with the Banshee tires? I'm looking at Trail Wolfs front and rear on this bike. But not sure which rims yet.

D you are gonna be upset in the ohio auto and RV mag....theres a nice arse 86 350x for 1500 bucks....it looks rele nice....heres the number if anyone want to call about it.....its in Fremont Ohio

Nice find. Looks like all you need to do is paint the tank and add some new decals. Plastic looks decent, if not Plastic Renew works great with a little work.
