Well boys looks like a screwed up another ebay purchase. I bought these and didn't fully read the auction. These are for the rear.. I need front brakes. Can someone tell me if they are the same meaning will the rear work on the front?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4619227624&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Now I'm not even sure if these will fit the 250sx. :wondering geez,,, what a tart I am???

Those should fit the rear on the 250sx. But they will not fit the front. If I remember correctly, the front brake shoes are the same as the rears on atc90, 110, 125m, 185, 185s, 200, 200e, 200es, and many more. The OEM part number for the ones you need is: 43120-968-681

I have a set of front brake shoes if he don't. Going from memory I think I can sell them for $20-$21 shipped ( priority Mail ).

I got them off ebay like 6 months ago thinking they were for the rear and the turned out to be fronts.

As far as I can tell they are unused but let me look again, once I find them that is. They were on my gun safe and I just looked and they walked away. I'll get back to ya tomorrow. SOB

I found 'em (they jumped acrossed the room on me. See what happens when ya clean?). If they are not brand new they have almost no use to them. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

lol never email me, I rarely check it unless i'm waiting for something. And I'll get some pics here in a moment. Ask bigred200, I'm about worthless sometimes when it comes to remembering things. And no there are no springs. You use the ones that are on the front brakes now.

Nate, I've decided to go with new brakes all the way around. Thanks for the offer though. Anyone know about those springs? Please don't tell me sevicehonda because I cannot use that website for some reason. The cheaper the better if they're not included with the pads. Thanks

So it turns out I got front brakes from this guy anyway. So..

I read on another post about new brake pads on a 250r caliper being to big. And to run only one new on for a bit till they wear.

Seems I've run into the same problem with the drum brakes here.. With the two new emego?? pads on there it just aint fittin. :( So.. I guess I just want to know if the same can be done in this instance.. but I'm even sure I can get it on there with one. Anyone got any ideas?

Ok.. Its on there with one new pad and its pretty tight. the drum doesn't really turn much..

just gas her up and ride it...thatll make the pads wear.

Did you clean the inside of the drum? Make sure there was no junk? On most honda drums, a little 1/8 inch wide build up occurs outside of where the mads dont touch the drum. You could have scraped some of this off when you put the new pads in, thus making you have some grime inbetween the pads.

If everything was clean, just go ahead and ride away and theyll wear together. Or, take them off, and lightly either grind or sand them down so theyll fit.

hmm, it seems whoever put pads on this last time didn't have the arm lined up properly inside. I took the arm with the spring off, realigned it properly, put it all back together, now the new pads fit right in there.:Bounce

This is the first trike I've owned with front brakes!!:w00t:

Can someone PLEASE post up a pic of the speedo gearbox mounted to the hub. http://smilies.storagebin.us/smilies/aargh.gif My speedo is still not working..

I have the slots lined up but I don't think I have it in close enough. I noticed when riding the whole thing spins.. I'm to afraid to go beat on it with a hammer to try and get it snug. Can someone post a pic or have any tips?
