Well we had a good weekend around the Whitman house. Pat Blackwell came up to visit and saturday and we went out Hondaline Parts hunting and hit pay dirt. Man we found so much stuff its absolutely crazy. We actually passed on quite a bit of stuff until we can find out if its worth buying. Most of the stuff we bought is for the bigger bikes although we did buy some 200X stuff. These places were amazing. They started looking up part numbers for us and then the one lady said "the hell with it" "follow me". Pat and I were like YES MAMN. Boy, talk about being a kid in the candy store. Whew. We immediately saw old stock red honda fenders for a number of the older smaller bikes. About 10 sets of rear fenders. Those are the ones that we passed on for now. They said they weren't going anywhere and we could come back and get them. So we will. The one lady at the first place, took us down the front and rear rack Isle first. Man did they have some racks. ATC racks older TRX racks, TRX plastic with decals. Then down the Headlight and body cover isle. We snagged a few items there and found a LOAD of front racks for the 200cc and smaller hondas. All of this stuff is brand new in the box and bags. Man. We were in shock. We picked up quite a bit of stuff. It was a experience and a half. One of the dealers actually had a brand dang new 85 or 86 Yamaha 225DX. It had been sold the day before for $1695. Brand new. It was crazy. Anyway here are some pics of the stuff I landed. Pat will prob chime in with his goodies.

1 Hondaline tool box for the BigRed Front rack.

2 [*Edited*]ATC Body covers in the bag sealed[/*Edited*]. One is in a box and bag.

1 Exhaust turn down tip for the BigRed, SX or 350X mufflers.

1 200X Chrome headlight guard with built in grille

1 200X Front fender stabililzer / brace

1 250R Front fender stabilizer / brace

1 250SX Front Rack new in the bag.

And a few other odd and end goodies. Im quite pleased. What do you guys think these items would be worth.

NOS Honda 110 & 125M rear fenders?

NOS Honda 250R rear fender? 81-82 model with factory decals on back?

NOS 250SX trunk lids

NOS 200 BigRed an 110/125M trunk lids.

NOS 200 BigRed rear fenders and mudflaps.

NOS front and rear racks for 200cc bikes and smaller. Chrome and Black in color.

What do you guys think? One of the dealers isnt even a Honda dealer now so he really wants to clean the shop out. He doesn't want to continue to pay taxes on it. We actually went to 2 states. Crazy. Im going to be selling a lot of this on Ebay unless someone makes a good offer or wants to trade some other rare parts that I may need I think Pats thinking the same thing.:beer

NOS 81-82 R fenders with decals=Crazy Money on Ebay. Looks like you separated a chunk of money from your walet. What do you mean by Exhaust turn down tip for the BigRed, SX or 350X mufflers?

ClayW
03-19-2006, 09:36 PM
Yeah I think you right man. I think its definately worth hunting around for the stuff. We drove about 200 miles to different dealers. The exhaust turn down deflects the exhaust down instead of straight out. Works real good with the Big rear mudflaps for the BR and keeps the heat off your trunk.

That looks to be the "turn down" thing he is talking about.. not quite sure what the purpose of it is though.

EDIT: ahhh I see.

that looks more like a HONDALINE work light holder

nouseforaname90
03-19-2006, 09:43 PM
It does, but I'm pretty sure thats the deflector.

And Clay.. hows that headlight treating you?

ClayW

That turn down bolts onto the spark arrestor. Has the instructions and mounting hardware also. The mounting kit for the work light is there in the pic too. Pat picked it up for his work light.:D

Niiiiice score Clay! Your lucky to find a dealer[s] that still had this stuff,or actually new that they still had it on the shelves. I called 6 dealerships in my state a month ago and they all told me that they don't hang on to any old stuff especially for 3 wheelers{atleast , thats what they told me over the phone}

Yep, just like Clay said, we hit the jackpot as far as Hondaline parts and accessories go! I love finding the "needles in a haystack" and did we ever. We'll definitely be back with flashlights and a ladder to see everything in that place on those shelves lol...Nothing like seeing NOS frames up on the top shelves  Some of the items I scored from the places we went to are:

*NOS 250R Front Fender Stabilizer

*NOS 200X Front Fender Stabilizer

*NOS Big Red 250ES Work Light Mounting Bracket

*NOS Red Fourtrax/TRX Body Cover

*NOS Front Rack Toolbox

*NOS Big Red/250SX/Fourtrax Exhaust Deflector

*NOS Green Camo ATC Body Cover

Clay and I are pretty much on the same mindset as far as what we're going to do with these parts....I would consider trading something for another item I need. I haven't decided if I'm gonna use the front rack toolbox yet or not...If I do, I will be taking off the custom winch setup I have on there...if anyone would be interested in it, let me know.-It will work on any ATC with the front rack. Also, I am in need of a 350X front fender stabilizer (like new or new) that I would be willing to make a trade for. Here are a few pics of some stuff I picked up:

Most will be on ebay most likely to give everyone a chance at getting some stuff....unless we can work out a trade for something else we may want.

ClayW
03-19-2006, 09:53 PM
Quite a bit of money my friend, but we know we can turn it for a profit. The headlight is doing fine. I havent messed with it yet. LOL. Been kinda busy getting the bike shipped to south dakota. Heres a pic of the instructions for the tip.

I was already looking into getting a mounting bracket made for the work light I got since it mounts in the same place as the speedo bracket....but luckily, it fit right underneath the speedo bracket just fine so now I'll be able to mount the light where it's supposed to go. All I have to do is get a 2" long extender to put it on so it doesn't get too close to the speedo head.

I've found a fair amount of stuff... but nothing like that... awesome... totally awesome!

I'll be sure to watch ebay in the next few weeks... haha

patblkwell
03-19-2006, 11:32 PM
Well....someone would have to make Clay or I an offer that we couldn't refuse lol...like we said though, we'll either work out a trade deal or put them on ebay to give everyone a chance at it.

Did you find any cool stuff for the atc70s'? Did you find some of the old atc90 front fork extenders? Man, you guys must have had a blast. Congrats on all the cool treasures. Finding the stuff is most of the fun.

I'll trade you my left nut for that camo atc cover. Since I'm not to familiar with these things... that tool box, is it empty or does it come with goodies? Oh.. still looking for that elusive HL grille for the sx.. happen to stumble across any of those? :naughty:

ClayW
03-20-2006, 10:09 AM
Yeah we did feel like we were hauling gold. We didn't see any SX grilles or headlight guards, but we may find one on the next visit. I will let you know. The tool box is empty. Its just ment to hold quite a bit of stuff. Its pretty cool and extremely rare. Before these 2 we had spotted one on Ebay that went for big money and it was used and rusty. Before that we had only seen them in the Hondaline brochures. :beer

I think I'm gonna keep and use the toolbox I got for the front rack....if anyone is interested in the winch setup I have, let me know...it includes the mounting plate and handlebar switch as well. It will be on ebay soon most likely unless someone on here is interested in it.

03-20-2006, 07:11 PM
Its made in Japan.. its no wonder.. lol.

Put it on eBay as "Working Light Bracket Set. Includes Box With RARE Typo! One of a Kind!"
I bet some idiots that have no clue about this stuff would pay hundreds for it.. lol.

Well... It'd be real neat if you actually had a legit use for it.;) I'd hate to burn out a mudflap in some heated summer riding! I thought you kids were all about being loud and abnoxious anyway? hahaha

Look's like a simple enough device....hmmmmmmm.. Clay.. could you email me a good scan of that sheet? atc350x250r@earthlink.net Thanks in advance!:beer

Bruce

Us kids are all about being loud and obnoxious, BUT I absolutly hate it when I'm riding and my friends exhaust keeps hitting me in the face. Get real annoying, Real quick. This little contraption would eliminate this problem for the people behind me. And I also have an SX with the stock exhuat on it, so its not like I cant find an SX to put it on.

Any chance they had an 86-87 style 125m rear fender? I would be interested. Wouldn't be able to compete on E-bay though.

patblkwell
03-22-2006, 11:33 AM
I'm not sure, but there's a good chance that they may have one. Those usually don't bring big money on ebay as far as I know.

Never saw an NOS rear fender on e-bay. Scored one NOS front fender that was listed improperly for $50. Some 86-87 125m stuff brings quite a bit, at least for my budget, depending on who sees it. They are a semi rare bike so theres not alot of lookers but if someone is competeing things can get pretty high. Saw a complete 86 125 go for $1100 and it was pretty nice then saw one go for $650 that was actually nicer. Just goes to show depends on who's looking. I've only seen two used rears and I managed to win both one was $100 total and the other $75 total. It's not like I live on e-bay so I'm sure I've missed a few but none the less they've been scarce. Maier did not even produce an aftermarket because there was not enough of the 86-87 ones produced to warrant production, at least thats what the Maier people told me. I saw one NOS 87 gas tank go for $240 and that left the country for England. Check it out and let me know what you find. Thanks Rod

Im pretty sure the 110 and 125 fenders they had were the earlier models. 84-85ish. They definately had those.
