Bipolar disorder is an illness that affects thoughts, feelings, perceptions and behavior ... even how a person feels physically (known clinically as psychosomatic presentations).
I studied this when I was getting my degree in respiratory theorpy. Its a type of state simliar or related to manic depression. It is where the electrical and chemical elements in the brain do not function correctly. Most often, a person with manic-depression experiences moods that shift from high to low and back again in varying degrees of severity. It is usually a person that has a history of metal type illness throughout their faimly.

well with our justice system it sounds to me like a one word excuse that will lighten your sentence if you kill someone. :crazy: gotta love the justice system anymore. Here locally a lady got drunk, drove, wrecked and killed 2 men and i think got 4 years in prison? what the hell is up with that?

Really i just love watching dateline ro whatever and some claims temporary insanity type crap and get there sentence cut in half. If you ask me it's more reason to have them in there longer!

Well the problem is. I called one retarded one time, and I didnt know about his disease. This was in school also. I almost got suspended. I felt so bad after this. I had no clue.

I had a friend who had this... wow......

He was a cool dude a few years ago, but his situation went from bad to worse, some days he was fine.. regular joe... and others he was in another world.

He was on meds.. " Lithium " if i remember.. as long as he kept taking it he was a zombie but could function and work.. but he had a habit of not taking his meds... and when that happens..... wooooowheeee.....

At one point.. he decided to go the the states.. had to cross the border.. got there and the border guy asked " Good day sir.. may i search the vehicle? ".. he answered " Sure.. as long as you don't search me.. cuz i have a bunch of joints in my pocket "..

And he hit the gas, right thru the gate.. was a high speed car chase involved... it went to court and he got off with house arrest... sheesh...

I don't hang out with him anymore.. it's sad.. but he's too unstable for my blood.
