I finally got my 200s finished! I badgered the owner into selling it to me at my price ($250) over a period of about 6 months. I'd just call him and ask him if he was ready to sell it every so often. He was originally asking $500 but it hadn't run in 4 years, so I knew it would need work and wasn't going to risk paying more. I put about $250 in parts into it and it's in pretty good shape now.

I still need the correct headlight (it's currently sporting a Big Red style headlight that doesn't quite fit in the brackets) and a front fender and I'll be done!

This is the one I agonized over fixing the crack on the fender. Anyone remember that? I didn't want to use zip ties. Guess what? I used zip ties and they worked great. Take a look at the pic and you'll see them below the seat.

The other amazing thing is how FAST this trike is. I can't believe it! It's gonna outrun my buddy's 185s and my other friend's 200X without breaking a sweat. I haven't had either one of them here to make them cry, but the day is coming soon. Oh yeah.

Thanks everyone for all your help and answering all my questions. Special thanks to jeswinehart for that last part that was holding me up. :w00t:

Oh, I thought of another question: I need to replace the front fender. Besides being all broken it has a 1" hole in it where somebody apparently ran it with no exhaust. I'm getting tired of trying to find a good stock one. Does anybody know if I can put the mud flap on a Maier fender, or are those shaped too differently?

Yeah, Snitch is my riding buddy when my riding buddies aren't around. His top speed is only about 22mph, but he catches up when I hit the woods. As soon as I grab my helmet, he's at the door waiting.

Looks good! I like the 200s, they go just about anywhere you point them. The stock mud flap does bolt up to the maier fender, here is a pic of my old 200s with the maier front fender, you can see it is a little different then stock but better then any beat up fender for sure.

I think I'll order the Maier then. I had a frustrating moment today when I tried to start it and it would only run fully choked, and then only in neutral. If I let off the gas it would die. So I tightened the bolts on the carb but they were already tight, added gas, and then I noticed the fuel petcock was on reserve, so I moved it to on. It started right up and ran fine. No idea what caused it. Maybe some blockage in the fuel line? Anyway, overall I'm thrilled with the new trike and looking for someone to ride with besides my labrador....

I love riding with my dogs. They're the only riding partners that will never say "naw, not today, I'm busy."
The only problem is, they are pitbulls/boxer and they have a "tendancy" to try and chew on my trikes tires as I am riding it. Which usually doesn't end well for the dogs.

Yeah, I've run Snitch over twice...once on a CT-70, and then again on my KLT110. Fortunately those are both very light machines, and he was not injured. Offended, yes. He has learned since to not suddenly jump playfully in front of my rolling tires.
