Hey folks,

I was tearin down my IT465 to do a trans job on it, anyways I went to pop the flywheel puller in to take the flywheel off.....it seems the redneck who owned the bike before me Striped a whole wack of threds out of the flywheel and messed it up pretty good, now i can get the puller started in there but, it only go's in a little ways and then binds up.......im not sure if i should use an impact to get it the rest of the way in....Cause if i try to pull the flywheel as is, the puller Starts to pull threds out a bit....and i dont want to make it worse.....Anyone got any ideas?

Do you know what I did with my IT200 to get the flywheel off. I put a big old flat head screw driver on the bottom of the flywheel, then i pushed up on it, then I used the hammer and gave a nice wack on the crank. Thing popped right off.

Its got to come off correct? Impact on that sucker and let it fly. Which sucks cause you have to get a used flywheel after the fact.

Well i got it, I ended Up Shovin a screwdriver between thew case and flywheel to wedge the sucker stuck and got the Puller in far enough to pop it off.......Man was it TIGHT....same with the crank bearings.....
