Just wondering for you guys that run without lids how much do you actually gain? I'm currently running a UNI filter, Cobra headpipe into a Honda stock 450r pipe with the HRC endcap and a 142 main with needle on stock notch. Can you actually feel more power (top end or bottom end). What main should I bump up to if I remove lid...145? Oh yeah..as long as I'm typing, anybody know where I can get 350x tank grommets? I see seat grommets on ebay all the time but rarely tank grommets. There not the same as the seat one's...are they? Thanks for your time guys.

Aren't the tank grommets still available from places like ronayers? I just ordered a bunch of rubber from them for mounting my tank.

I would try the 142 main first and go from there.
Tank grommets-Lemme look,i might have them.

I'm running a 142 main now. It seems to run a little lean when temp is below 25 deg. But she seems to be fine now (40-50 deg.). I can pretty much figure out the jet size by moving up slowly if I remove the lid but my question is..."Is it worth it" and how much and what kind of power/torque do you gain? There must be a few guys that have pretty much the same setup I have and running with no lids.

I dont think you would notice much by taking the lid off. On a highly modified engine then yes but with the stock 450 exhaust i dont think it flows enough. By removing the lid you would notice your power gain on the top more than the bottom. As for the grommets the right side is the same as the seat ones (which is also the same as the 450's but the 450's are better) the left side is longer I woudnt know where to get that one.
