Numbers On The Rear Fenders?

Not that its a big deal but im putting some numbers on my 250R's rear fenders. Which way do you think they should face? forwards, backwards, sideways. I see the old school race trikes have them sideways. What do you guys think?

I would say sideways...Thats always looked good to me on the R's

The numbers are to be positioned where they are most easily read by the scorers, as they do serve a very important function, and arent just for decoration. The rears are normally sideways, as your race scorrers will normally be beside the track reading them as they go by.
