You could have brought a bicycle.

How many of the Florida riders are going to Trikefest? Maybe we can set up a convoy.

Not really familiar with the pan handle end of the state...I'm trying to get an MX track put in over here in Live Oak but thats still a drive for you. I'd check the closest national forests and stuff, see if you can ride in any of those.

:welcome: to the site by the way :D

hey billy what kinda of riding areas are around you?! not really mx but something i can take my younger cousins and daughter to. IM in south ga about and 45 mins away from live oak

Billy Golightly

There use to be all kinds of stuff but with the realestate boom last year almost all of it is housing developments now. Never thought I'd be saying that. IF you can find a place to ride i ts defiently nice. I use to have a trail that followed along the bank of the suwanee river for about 2 miles to a nice big sand bar area. Off limits now :(

You also use to be able to ride in the Alapaha river off of SR6 an I75 but thats off limits thanks to Water management too.

Actually Will (Lomax) from the Kissimmee ride is putting one on out in Arkansas later on this year. I'm gonna try to go and Greg thinks he might be able to. Want to pack in the truck with us and head on out? Heres the link to the thread: http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=54591

hey guys how is croom? I go by it everytime i goto Tampa (wich i have went buy it probably 1000+ times over the years) when is the best time to go? I dont want to go when theres a million people there, and I want to take my daughter who is 6 with here little eton 40, and how about the place in Ocala? (cant remember the name) whats the best way to set up the smaller quads for the sand? thanx guys!

LonesomeTriZ

Croom sucks. It does not matter when you go, it will be crowded with non riding idiots that should never have been allowed the get on a machine. it simply is not worth the hassle.

A nother FL rider checking in. I live close to Gainesvilee & Ocala.

I have heared Croom is OK but I have never been. I live close to Ocala National Forest. You could go read about Croom at atvflorida.com

anyone heard of RIVER RANCH?
Yes I have heard of River Ranch. It is private property for rec. use hunting. fishing, camping etc. etc. Do you have land there?

SYKO
07-23-2006, 07:37 PM
yea ive been on that site and watched a few videos to, I like that the camping is better than ocala, but ocala is waaaayyyy cheaper, but i wanted to camp to and i dont have an rv so its tent time for me, and croom has showers and ocala dosnt, ALso its extremely importnt that I go somewhere that there are respectfull and well minded riders as I would have my daughter riding to. And I dont know how many of you have kids, shes a great rider but they still get distracted and I dont want her gettting run over by a kid on a banshee hauling ass where he shouldnt.

I like to ride Ocala. There are idiots every where you ride. Just like driving. There are showers at ONF(Ocala National Forest) it just depends on what site you stay at. If you ever get down this way let me know. We can go riding. If you need a shower after the ride I have one here at home you can use.

SYKO
07-23-2006, 09:08 PM

I say we cook up an ocala national forest ride. A lot of turf and good variety. Dreadhead is familiar with it out there (I think), and it is pretty centrally located for ALL of us. Any thoughts?

SYKO

Hey Billy ... when i went with CHILLIN , we rode LOT'S !!! but we parked at his spare house which is Located off of 316 through ft. McCoy and over a TALL Bridge that goes by a saloon called the "PIG PEN" ... it's WAY over there somewhere !!

I am down for a group ride. I don't know the forest the best. I usually go some where new each time. I just drive down a few dirt roads & find some where to park by a trail that looks like fun. The only place I have been more than once is Big Scrub. It's not to bad there. I just take the GPS with me so I can find my way back if I get lost.

Sound cool with me. I will try to start working on Louis's triks in my backyard. Is everybody still planning on going in Nov.? Louis might be done with OCS by that time and we can get him out there. Last year's Rumble in Dixie was a blast. I will try to get a hold of Larry Dog (the place that we stayed out at the last Rumble) to see if he can make it.

Yes you need registration. I just got checked for the first time about 3 years the other day. I was giving a warning. I think the chances of being checked on the weekend in a group are small. That was the only time I have been checked. I was the only one there so they had nothing esle to do I guess.

No address to mapquest.

It cost nothing to ride.

I think it's $7 or some thing like that to tent camp.

I would not mind meeting you there to ride Sat. Take the 350x out for one last ride before I pull the motor. I need to get a registration first though. So if I get time tomorrow I will get one. I dont think I have road there area.

All right what is the deal with the ride? Veterans day is on the 11th, so unless alot of people have that Fri off I would think the weekend befor or after would be better. Less people mabey. How about the 17-19? Sound good? I am game for just about any time I just have register the trike.

Possible end of November or sometime in december is gonna be best for me at this point. I have the eastern US ag show coming up next week, then racing at jasper after that, then my dads eye surgery a few days later and I'll have to be around here for a couple weeks after that for sure before I can go anywhere. Another race up in Valdosta on the 18th of Nov...

End of Nov/Dec would also be best for me at this point, but still not sure with how screwed up my schedule is. I would like to attend, for sure.

I like that idea. That would be a long weekend to do some riding. As long as you don't mind a crowd. I would think that there will be alot of riders that weekend. My boss(me) is flexable with time off so I just need to know when. Should I just start a new thread with a poll of diffrent dates & we go with what ever gets the most votes. Any other opinions?
