Anyone ride in that area at all? I went last weekend but really didn't get to cover much ground. Parked in the mountain just above the town of North Philidelphia.

For Free :p it's not bad at all but I'd like some comments or suggesstions on where the trails take me (how far) and your favorite area around there.

What should I check out? Which direction shall I head?

Thanks!

Hmmm, I wonder if I saw him up there?

There was a beautiful red, white & blue (I think it had 3 colors) Tri-Z that I saw and really wanted to talk to the guy but as usual (remember what I said) if I stopped I would be holding everyone up from the puss  1 hour ride we took!

I will do just that! Thanks!

Watch out for those backfires

yes that's him. He's in his early 20's I think and he has a big red. It would be cool to get a few more guys with trikes to come along as well. I can hardly wait!

Your talking about Philidelphia, this is NEW Philidelphia but your still easily with in strinking distance my freind!

Kind of trike you have? Up for this Sunday?

All you really have to do is take 309 N all the way to Tamaqua, make L on 209 S and in about 15 minutes (maybe less) your there, at New Philidelphia. You make a R in the beginning of town and go back a ways (a mile maybe?) in the mountain to park. Don't know name of that road though. I'm sure the townfolk know though.

There isn't many trikes there. Every once in a while you see a beat 225dx. I used to see a 85 Tri Z with an extended swing arm up there. But I haven't seen it in quite some time. If you want to organize a trike ride there I'm game for it. I can show everyone around and I only charge $500 per person

Stay home then, we'll find our own way!

Mr. Tour Guide Man

Are you interested in Sunday? If so, what time would you need to start riding to give us a 1/2 decent tour? I am a super early riser in the morning bordering on ridiculous so meeting there early is no big deal.

I know you said you have to work Sunday evening (that blows! ) so name a time and again, that's if you are interested and if not, another day then.

I'll be over at your house Saturday to meet you if you don't mind.

The tri Z might have been the one I saw, it was quite nice but I only zoomed by it so not sure about the swinger.

hey huffa im glad you like it
its a 4 cyl kz 650H circa 1981.

its the engine , frame and gas tank from the Kawasaki kz650 street bike, with alot of machining , welding and fabrication done to it by yours truly here. oh, and alot of searching for parts that i could make fit, mostly tecate 3 parts. lol.

im working on getting some people organized to go up and ride with chrisr200x in hazelton on the 22nd (see post in that thread) let us know if you can make it.

Well if I can make it I'm certainly not riding directly behind you!

Nice machine though buddy! :beer

What's the other one that I see or at least I see tires but not sure it's a full machine?

You may want to take a less potent one for the tighter stuff or does anything less now bore your to death?

Hmmmm, :wondering You do decent welding I suppose?

KZXT650

mostly scattered parts and whatnot in the background.
sounds like you might have some welding requirements? i do very good welding work and am set up with a tig but it is dc only and that means i cant weld aluminum with it. i work with chromemoly , stainless and mild steel alot. i have experience with atv, and bike frame repairs and mods using a jig, as well as swingarms.

my trike does ok in the tight stuff surprisingly, and i mostly cruise on it and it can stay very tame, i do like to open it up from time to time though but i am in my thirties now, so i use my head and also tend to be courtious to those behind me, so its all good lol.:beer
