Whats this worth?

I am looking at a 83-85, 200x. It need a top end rebuild, not quite sure what else is wrong with the engine. The frame and chassis are all there and they are in good shape. What would YOU pay for it?

:welcome: Hmm, Kinda hard to tell without pics. I'm guessing if it needs a top end most likly it will need more.. Most of the 200x I've come across also need kicker gears, crank bearings,,, among other things... Plan on spending a few hundred just on rebuilding the motor itself. Not to mention probably replacing just about everything else on the trike. (bearings,cables,plastics, etc...)

I bought a complete basket case like this for $300 and ended up putting a ton of money into it. So I would say no more than $300 or so.

:eek: Well thats no good, I was going to offer the guy $150. I think he might just take it though, he's old and senile. So....I might just luck out and get it for cheap. I'm going to go talk to the guy about it tonight. His son told me he wants me to make an offer, so i hope 150 cash might just sweigh him. What do you guys think ???

Go over all the nuts and bolts and check for fubard screws.. mashed nut heads etc.... working on a machine that you can't take apart.. sucks.

Check the hubs for welds etc...
