Ok last night I finally decided to quit dicking around and get this thing tore competely down. So i took the axel, brake drum, and cables off so it was down to almost the bare frame. I had my 200x axel lying around so I stuck that baby in there, it worked, so I am happy now. It addes like 1" on either side so with the 2" whel spacers it'll kick ass ;).

Anyway today My friend dropped off an '82 110 for free :w00t:, but it'll be a parts bike . The owners before him welded the shifter, hubs, and the frame in one spot. But the engine is an exellent runner and the front tire looks awesome so I'm gonna use them on my 110 for sure. We took the exhaust off and ran it for a few seconds just to hear what it sounded like and had a blue flame :beer (I'm using a different top end so I didnt care what happened. So now I have the top end of that tore down ready for my other top end.

Tomorrow I plan on cutting my stering stem tube off and figuring out how much i want to rake the 200x front end. It'll be alot of fun :beer

Anyway i got one question: The 200x axel slides a little too far (the rear sproket is about 1/4" too far to the right), so any ideas on what I could use to make a spacer? I want to have a clean look so no N~~~~~ rigging.

250sx, What are you building this 110 to do? Trails, Drags or Flattrack? How big are you building it? I'm just curious to see what direction you are heading in. I hope you will post some pictures.

Find a 1/4" piece of alluminum and cut it out for the spacer. This isn't the most legal thing but i know some guys who used traffic signs to make spacers for their wheels on their dwarf cars, just an idea.

Go to a hardware store and see if they have any HUGE washers, big enought that the ID is as big as the axle's od. If you find one big enough, that would make for a clean look.

I too am working on a project 110 right now - man they are cool little machines. Hopefully I'll post up some pics tonight. I like the 200X axle idea. Let us know how it turns out:pics: :naughty:

I'll get some pics up tonight. Right now I'm waiting on my friend so we can go run his 350 raptor on my track. Should be fun.

My favorite part of these machines is the solid frame. All you have to do is pull on the handlebars and that wheel is up. Insane

when i put a 200x axle and brakes on my 110 to space the axle i used the center out of the old drum and cut it to the right length and it still seals to the axle seal

no pics tonight, however I did get the stem cut off the 110 but the 200x is being a pain in the arse. Oh well time to retire the grinder and break out the saws all i suppose :D. Pics will be up tomorrow.

250sx, what is a kid class dragster? How big of a piston are you running? Are there any limits? Have you thought of a lifan 110 engine in an atc70? Or putting the atc110 engine in an atc70 frame? You have me curious now. What about running an aftermarket frame?

see now your gettin all fancy like. Its just a trike I'm modding for the kids class. They have different displacements but you have to be under 15 to race. I figure I'll just run a 110 pistion with a custom High compression job done on it, throw in my web camshaft and carb and i'll be good to go. I dont know of any limits but I'm pretty sure nitrous is out of the question . atvspecialevents.com

An atc70 frame is not fancy, it's sort of like the old fuel altereds, big engine in a small frame. Small frame less weight, less weight, the easier to move down the track. You don't see too many top fuel suburbans do you?

Yeah but how many top fuel clown cars do you see?

Wheelie, I can't wait to see this thing come together!:w00t:

On this other website I post at, a person is putting a water pumper with a 310 kit into an atc70 frame, now that is fancy. There is also a person modifying 200x engines to fit into an atc70!

I have almost the whole thing ready to assemble, just waiting for the pistion. And I decided to run a straight pipe since it sounded so cool without a pipe at all . This is gonna be alot of fun. I think the only things I need is another hub and the carb i want.

Oh and I got a real good scare today. i was grinding the steering stem off the frame and it was throwing sparks read good . Well they happened to find some 2 week old oil that I spilt so that caught fire and decided to burn my mud bug, then went to the fuel lines on my gas tank . They wouldnt go out so i just ripped the line off and quick got the gas tank outta there. Way too close of a call. Lesson learned.

Weel got some pics. A few things first, the frame is tipped so thats why it looks bent, I placed the 110 axel behind the 200x axel to give an idea of the extension.
I simply placed the blue front end on the salvage trike so dont get confused, the engine on the bench is the one I just got, and the one on the ground is the one I said "F~~~ You" to.

The first pic I believe shows the pistions I pulled from each machine. The carboned one I pulled out of this newer engine, and you can see where I cleaned it down the metal.

One last thing. Is that an OEM tire on the red front end?

Anyone know about this tire? It says dunlop on it so I'm gonna say it is an OEM one?

ok got the 200x stem cut off so I'm looking for some advice as to the degree at which I should rake out this front end. I also wont be the main driver, he will be about 150lb. I was talking to a friend today who is a big motorcycle nut and he said most common rake found on choppers and such is about 60 degrees and that has the looks of a dragster. Any personal preferences?

Be careful, if you rake it out too much it will be a bear to steer, you don't want the kid to hurt himself. If you look at a modern drag bike, you will notice they are not raked out much, just that the forks are short. The longer you rake the front end out, not including extending the forks, the more the front end wants to flop over to one side or the other. If you've ever ridden an old chopper with a homemade rake and a long extended front end, it is quite miserable. And you really don't want to make the problem worse by adding alot of speed. The average rake on a harley is like 38 degrees, with anything over 45 degrees starting to get squirrely. I can't imagine 60 degrees. It's your trike, but please be careful, I'd hate to see someone get hurt.

60 Degrees sounds a bit excessive to me mate...Nice project though.Original..

What kind of carb are you gonna put on it? I am thinkin a 200x carb would work pretty nicely. If you need a piston, I have a 1mm over 110 piston/rings etc that I don't need, and I'll sell you cheap.

Well from what i have ben told, wh=ith the mods I want to do, a 185s carb works great. And I'm gonna see if I cant just hone it out and be good since there isnt any scaring to the cylinder I'm gonna use. But if I have to bore it I'll let you know

if you rake 60 degrees you might want to extend your forks - or your top end might be dragging the ground! are you using the solid 110 forks? - those short forks prolly wouldnt go 60 -

I really wanna see it - why didnt I think of raking something!! hah

no I'm using a 200x front end
