Is anyone running the DG RCM exhaust on the 200X?? There is an alloy system by Cobra for 200X for 150$ at DK. I'm not familiar with the DG system which is about the same price and just wanted some feedback on either system, thanks!

I have heard that the DG is VERY loud. I do not have personal experience with one, but a friend of mine regretted putting a DG on his X. He switched to the Cobra quiet series, and liked it much better. I guess that there are 2 Cobra varieties, loud and quiet. if sound is no problem for you, I'd say that the DG and the Cobra (loud) is a toss up. But if you do not want to shatter windows, you might want something with some more "muffling". Good luck.

I have had both in the past, and I personally thought the Cobra was louder. The cobra is a straight design where the DG is angled and kinda forms up under the fenders better. That's the main reason I liked the DG better.

I had a DG exhaust on my 200x before I sold it. Mine was the entirely chrome plated exhaust and I loved it. The DG was louder than stock. It was not louder than my buddies cobra. I personally believe that the DG pipe gave more of a performance increase than the cobra. The DG was easy to install and looked very nice bolted up and in place. I received many compliments on the DG exhaust. The plated exhause is a little more expensive if you can find one but well worth it. I would recommend some type of sealant for the header as it will turn colors if you don't seal it. I used a sealing prouct that is used on many of the harley exhaust pipes that you coat the inside of the pipe and bake it in your oven and it kept the DG pipe nice and chrome, very little bluing. Don't forget with either exhaust you will have to rejet and you should probably run a nicer filter than stock, K&N or Unifilter to take full advantage of the increased breathing.

My freind had a Cobra on his 1986 200X.That thing was a waste of money.Way too loud for the small performance gain.

I had a cobra on my 86 200x, what a waste of money and loud, it was much better when I put on the sparky spark arrester and also alot quiter and it seamed more powerfull. Now I have a cut cobra header and 350x suppertrapp silencer and mid pipe, I like to much better and it was more powerfull and a less annoying and loud sound. It also fits also most perfect on the bike, you have to experiment wih cutting the head pipe.
