I've located a very nice swingarm intended for the 84-85 tecates. It appears to be either a stock one that has been extended or an aftermarket, I am not certain. It is in excellent condition, it appears to have a chromoly type finish. Could someone who owns one of these machines post some measurements and a photograph of their swingarm? I would like to know the length, width, and whatever other significant features to look for in a stock arm. I am pretty positive that the one I found is not stock but I would like to ascertain that first. If it turns out to be something nice I will pick it up and offer it for sale since I don't own any Kxt's. It is definately clean, worthy of going on a restored or well maintained bike. Thanks for the assistance.

I have seen the franks and champion swingers before, it isn't one of those. What I am looking for is measurements of a stock one to compare then go from there. Length, width, etc. Perhaps some close-up shots of the stock unit as well, thank you. Tomorrow I will go back to compare with the one I found.

The stocker is easy to tell. Its a poor excuse for a swinger with gaps between surfaces and welds that are surrounded by spatter.

16 1/2 center of pivots to top carrier holes is what the stock one is...

That has to be the ugly red headed step child of swingarms, IMO.

I stopped by on my way home from work yesterday and compared to the photo of the stock swinger provided by Blazer1 which I printed out. This swinger did not resemble any swingarm which any of you have posted. I did photograph it with my telephone, I then emailed myself the shots. If someone can provide their email, I will forward the shots and perhaps they can post them here. I don't have time to do it, or rather try to figure out how to.

No idea what the heck that is. Looks to be a very haggard 86/87 aluminum arm thats extended. Notice the offset UNI link mount.

Your right Blazer, I'd kill for one of those suckers. Meat picked one up cheap not long ago for his purple people eater. Again, those Cal-fabs are sick!
