I've heard this is a much better coil for the Z. I've been told that it will bolt right up and produce a much better spark. Anyone else here off this? What year Grizzly do I need?

the coil is one of thoes parts that is used on many differnt machines. i have not heard that a grizzly coil will work, it verry well could be possible.

I hope you aren't addressing the better spark comment here. Contrary to what a lot of people think, hotter plugs do not produce a hotter, better, longer, or stronger spark. The term "hot" has to do with the heat rejection properties of the ceramic insulator. The hotter the plug, the hotter the insulator stays. The spark remains the same regardless of the heat range.

Back on topic, I don't see why a Grizzly coil wouldn't work. As long as the wiring is the same between the two, it should work because the coil doesn't care if it's a two or four stroke, just as long as it gets an impulse from the stator.

Thanks for the info guys! I think I'm gonna order one off ebay. I read in a post that orange shee's was from a 98 grizzly. Thanks again!
