I purchased some original Honda fork boots for my 85 200x restoration. There was no boots on the trike when I bought it. When I slip the boots over the shock tower they don't seem to fit properly over the black rubber dust seal that covers the circlip and bushing area? When I stretch the boot over the dust seal it looks like crap and doesn't fit very well. When I remove the dust cap and slide the boot over the shock it locks into the lip and looks great....however it don't seal very tight. Anyone had this problem?

On the bike bandit skematic, it looks like the dust seal fit's INSIDE the lower fork, rather than slips over it? Any Ideas??????????

im pretty sure your supossed to take the dust cap off, i think those are used when not having fork boots. so take then off maybe put some tape around it so it fits tight.

I agree, I think the dust seals need to be there to keep moisture and dirt out. I just don't understand why the factory Honda boots are not designed to slip over the dust seals. I'll try and post some pics tonight.
