i just acquired a 125m with a 1985 trx125 motor in it. the motors look to be the same. Well anyway, the motor was locked so i let the top end soak overnight and today after fiddling with it for a little while i got it to break loose. to my astonishment this thing cranked up with a little starting fluid to get it going. i ran it for about 3 minutes and it died. i then could not get it to start back up. i had spark, had fuel then i was noticing oil seeping from the dipstick. when i turn it over i have tons of compression and oil comming out of the the dipstick hole so i must have broke a ring. now here is the question, how do you remove one of these top ends. i have never pulled one off before and i am kinda confused how to get the timing chain off. can someone please help?

I would say your float is sticking in carburetor and gas ran through cylinder pushing oil out thruogh dipstick. Just clean carb and you will be good to go.
