The shifter oil seal is leaking on my R. How do I remove it to replace it? Can it just slide over the shifter shaft? I'm getting tired of checking/adding oil every time I ride, hehe.

Thanks

Yes, and buy a spare to keep in your tool box! Amost ruined an early Trikefest when I had one start leaking at a steady drip. Some silicon saved the weekend, but I still went through a lot of oil.

Thanks alot. There is a bearing and seal company here in town, maybe I can find one there instead of ordering a whole set of oil seals.

Make sure there are no rough spots on the shaft, or itll ruin the new seai. They dont leak for no reason... 1000 grit sandpaper is the trick, or, sometimes the seals can be put in backwards to find a smooth spot on the shaft.

Ok, thanks, I'll try that. I'm about to go tear into it. I found a place here in town that has the seals, so thanks for the offer 3leg.
