I'm tring to get in touch with someone from Miltech to buy one of their "updated" '85 T3 swingarms. I haven't been able to get with anyone yet. Does anyone here have one of thier swingarms? If so, how is it?

I'm pretty sure 3leggeddog is running an extended Miltech on his R.

Im having one made right now...Frank has been really busy lately and I dont think he's been on the computer too much. Thats probably why you cant get ahold of him. From what I here. they are awesome and I cant wait to get mine!

You really cant beat the price on them, they are cheap compared to other swingarms you see. And you have unlimeted carrier/axle/hub/rim/tire choices with the updated arm.

I wouldn't really call them cheap. You can snipe some arms for cheap but this Miltech stuff is a fixed price and if you buy the updated arm you must buy the 400ex components as well. The feature I like is the unlimited aftermarket support for the 400EX rear end. Someday I will have a Miltech and sell my Champion.

yea as soon as Oldschoolin gets a hold of me and lets me know when I can send my stuff off to him it will be built.
the parts that I am having installed are a T.M. designworks chain slider, MSR chain guide from a KX500, and a billet double wide bearing carrier.
once I get the swinger back I'm having a buddy of mine build me a chassis skid and a swinger skid.
right know the trike is up in hays, ks getting a new radiator built and mounted on the frame above the exhaust port, below the fuel tank.
this is my +1 for my 83R

Thats why I was wanting to talk to him, the installation of a chain slider and chain guide. If he could do it or if I needed to. I need to go a +3 or a +4 though. How long has yours been in the works? When does he think he'll get started on yours? Maybe 2 that were almost the same would speed it up.

he hasnt started on mine yet as he's still building other swingarms form other people right now. it might be the middle of may before he's ready for my swing arm build.
are you wanting to go with an OEM style swingarm or are you wanting an updated swing arm?
another question, why are you wanting to go so long on your swing arm? not that long is bad, just wondering.

I'm hoping he'll respond to the e-mail I sent him so I can place the order. When did you get your order in for yours?
Going with the updated swingarm. OEM is too much of a problem trying to get parts and axles. The +4 length??? It’s for the KX500 its getting bolted onto. I don't think I'd be up right very long if I went with the stock length.

I've been trying to get a hold of Miltech to order a swingwarm and haven't had any luck. I sent him a PM and an e-mail at the Miltech web page a week ago... I'm sure he's busy with TF coming up. If any of you guys can get a hold of him would you relay the message to call me so I can give him my order.
Thanks
