200x moving problems

I just bought an 86 200x in really nice shape for 200 bucks, the only problem is that he said it started to slip(clutch or something) and now when you put it in gear it wont move at all, what might be bad on it?? please help

I think you answered your own question there, I would guess it's the clutch.

If its in neutral it should move freely. But when in gear there will be allot of resistance, the higher the gear, the less resistance. In first gear you'll get allot of resistance and sometimes if you push really hard, instead of the wheels turning, they'll bounce/skid some. It sounds somewhat normal, unless what your saying is its totaly locked up...Try switching through gears when pushing it and see if the higher you go in gears, the easier it is. Again, if its totaly locked up, I'm not quite sure whats wrong and i'll leave that to the more knowledgable guys on here. I hope I helped some.

Sounds like you better by a clutch kit, Shindy make them I believe. You can try to adjust the clutch but if it doesn't move at all i'm sure that won't help ya.

Yeah, try messing with the clutch...That seems to be the prob.

Thanx guys, you can have it in any gear you want and it will move freely, about how much does a clutch kit cost and how hard is it to install??
