My friends still can't believe teh fact my trike came with a twister from the factory. Getting my ported cylinder soon, can't wait, few new 450's around to take on.

I enjoyed stomping the 400 that hit me just after christmas with the rebuilt red t-3 over the last weekend; the owner (not the son) didn't want to believe that a machine 20 years older than his beat him in a 300 footer, the mx, a 15 mile X-country (by a good 1/2 mile) so we did it again with the same results, and the T is running a little soft cause of a high oil mix.
Its giggles and shits watching the owner of the local Honda shop turn red while all his new non modified machines get stomped by the old girl really makes me smile. I get to run "old timers" this year cause my age and the machines age are more than 65 and the serious "amatuer" riders aren't keeping up, But I've already chewed up a pair of bearclaws and need to redo the back brakes ---- ain't life grand!!!!

I tore up those cannonbale quads when they had a demo day at chattsworth on my 85 t3. Its funny, I run my 200x and very mofidied atc250r on mx. I can keep up with the quads at one place I ride on my atc250r and another place I ride at stomp most of the quads on my atc250r and can beat them on my 200x. It really turns heads to see most people getting beaten by a trike and I hit almost every jump the quad guys do too.

tecate 3 kawasaki's 2 stroke 250 cc race bike as opposed to the t-4 the short lived quad version of the T-3 .
As a brief history it was Kawasaki's entry into beating on the Honda ATC race team, in 1984 it made Honda change from an air cool to a liquid cool trike after a stack of wins in the 84; races 85 was the end of the original version of the t-3.
86-87 t-3's were power valved with better suspension and realistically challenged Hondas in a lot of forums but was a bit behind on technology and did not win as often as K would have liked. the ATC moratorium hit and every one was running quads, Suzuki had a bit of a leg up on every one Honda and Yamaha close behind, Kawi was still behind in technology, I believe the last Tecate 4 sold was in 89 and was a rebadged 88. Kawasaki didn't really challange the ATV 250 2-stroke catagory again
