85 Nighthawk, not even 5000 miles on it! - 4 cylinder, 6 speed, shaft drive, hydraulic valves, digital gear indicator, antidive forks.........that was farrrr ahead of it's time those antidive jobs (more of a gimmick then anything though:lol: ) + a super rare 4 into one Super Trapp exhaust AND maintenence free! It was in very poor shape when I got it though. Sat outside in the winter in snow, rain and sleet for a few years...........poor thing! :(
02 CRF 450 - Upgraded with many trick parts and then went from red to white and then RE-upgraded again just weeks ago. The list goes on and on.
All bikes posted so far look great you guys! :beer

All the bikes do look great. I also have an 93 RM 250 that I have put a lot of money into lately. Right now I have the top end tore down though. Should be back together soon. I would like to make it a RC replica. Haven't had much luck finding a graphics kit for it though. I will probably have to have one made.

Heres my bikes. The first one is my 1974 Honda CL 450. Its not mint but its in pretty nice shape, only has 6,000 miles, runs good. The other bike is my 1987 YZ 250, the night after we picked it up with my buddy's car. LOL, As you can see, lol it needs a little work. We did however just get the motor running recently so now it just has to be all put together hope to have it done by trikefest. Nice bikes everyone, Im new to this whole 2 wheel thing:TrikesOwn  but so far I like it

Well, this isin't mine actually. I have a 2005 model this is a 2006 model picture. The world fastest production motorcycle. My bike has 175rhp, 105ft./ils of torque. She runs 9.80 quarter mile at around 150 mph. She has a top speed of 210 mph. many, many, modifications. MUZZY full race exhaust, IVANS tre, POWER COMMANDER 3 USB, K&N FILTER, SMOG PUMP MODIFICATION, SCHNITZ RACING PAIR VALVE MOD, SCHNITZ RACING SHORT STACKS, BORED THROTLE BODDIES, 5 LAYER DIPPED SHO-CHROME WHEELZZ, and the list goes on and on. that 14 ain't all it's cracked up to be. Its heavy., and it only runs high 10's except with a pro rider like GASDEN, or RYAN SCHNITZ. Then it breaks into the 9's. So, we ain't scared.

Yeah ! my bike is still a little light on power, i am trying for 200hp at the rear wheel. I have a set of YOSHIMURA cams ordered for it and I had the computer flashed for another 800 rpm. And my MUZZY FULL RACE EXHAUST takes the 4ibs. off rather nicely, as a mater of fact, my bike lost over 25# just by changing exhaust. I have not even ridden her in a long time, until yesterday, sh will still do 160mph 4th gear wheelies and you gotta respect the power and torq of THE HAYABUSA..
AS WE SAY AROUND HERE...I YOU AIN'T ON A BUSA...YOU ARE BEHIND ONE...!

The Busa is my favorite. The Busa is heavy as well. I heard there was a pro rider that got a 9.18 in the 1/4 on a stock ZX14. I haven't heard a number like that on the Busa in stock form. I like the upper on the ZX14, but I don't like those black panels on the side fairings. Kawasaki could have put a little more effort in the design of the bike. I seen one at the Kawasaki dealer a few weeks ago. It was black so the panels didn't look that bad. It would be sweet if they could have made it look a little more like the ZX10RR. I can't wait to see what the Suzuki does to answer to the ZX14. Mabey a GSXR1500?

07-04-2007, 07:14 PM
Nope this was all built from parts me and my cousin had laying around the grips are actually ATV grips the brand name is "the gripper", notice the ATC 125m handlebars and thumb throttle, also it has a 78 Z50 motor with a TB.com 88cc bigbore kit and I got a 4 speed parts motor and swapped all the tranny parts necessary to make it a 4 speed, and finally I had a 1980 RM80 parts bike and I borrowed the shocks from it because mine were toast, next I need to get a new manual clutch kit for it and some real triples and forks. This bike is a true Frankenstein machine, and it gets climbs hills like a maniac for all the bigger it is.:D

07-04-2007, 08:30 PM
Well the bigbore kit alone cost me $225 plus shipping and when I installed the kit I also replaced the points, condenser, valve seals, cam, cam sprocket, cam chain rollers, and self adjust spring all OEM Honda parts as well as the cam chain D.I.D and I did a little intake port work to match up the 20mm intake and carb so it's gonna take a more $$ than 300 to pry it from me.:)

500? I can do anything up to about 500 or so, because I'll also probably have to pay shipping as well. Also, there's a Z50 in town which I might buy instead of this cob-mobile (no offense meant by that either, some great machines I've owned were cob-mobiles  ), so we'll have to see about that. I bought this 2002 VTX1800 when they first came out in the spring of 2001. I have had 3 of the 1100 Shadows, and was always trying to figure out how to make them more powerful. I saw the television commercial for the VTX, and the next morning I was hitting the dealerships. The commercial was just too cool, something about pistons bigger than a 427 hemi, valves bigger than a P51 Mustang fighter plane, and 20-some pound counterbalance.
It's a SWEET machine, with LOADS of grunt! I can break the tire lose with a twist of the throttle, and that isn't easy to do with a 700 pound machine. I think it has about 8000 miles on it, and there's only one scratch that I added when I changed the hand grips......................long story!

This is my 1973 CT-90. I got it with a bunch of other cool ATC/ATV parts when I emptied out a ladies yard. I might have enough parts lying around that I may go big and put a 125cc motor in it. That's my friends old bike next to it; 2004 Honda Shadow 600 (he has an '07 750 Shadow now as well as a 1987 Fatcat which will do burnouts!). If I do rebuilt this bike it will be for the street only; dark blue with clearcoat over shined metal. Gotta love the classics!

I am! I haven't ridden mine in a month and a half! Only 2 more weeks till I go home for a weekend, then I will slap some front turn signals on, do a little carb. tuning and be off. I like the black rear grab bar you have New, I might have to paint mine now.

Anyone else have a Vespa here?
I picked up this machine about two weeks ago. Couldn't resist. I'm trying to figure out exactly what year it is but I think it's a '64 or '65. I really don't know too much about these yet. I'd like to rebuild it very close to original, but may go with a two-tone paint job. Not sure on colors. I've already put this scoot in my stash and probably won't touch it till I have a good plan on how to fix it up.
The metal is all in very good shape; very, very little surface rest and only a few minor dings. Almost all the chrome is there, the seat is missing as well as the speedometer cluster. I'm told it runs; I haven't tried it yet becase I want to make sure the engine is clean and in good working order first. I don't know what size it is. When you kick it over it sounds good! Both side covers are removable. The engine is on the right, the spare tire is on the left. The glovebox opens with a key which I do have. The tires are cracked but still hold air. The brakes still work.
Should be a cool project.

Its coold to see a thread that I started a year and a half ago is still going. I need to borrow a digital camera again and post pics of my new bikes. I sold the SRAD shown in the first post by me. I was sad to get rid of it, but it was replaced with a TL1000R. I have wanted a TLR for a long time so I don't guess it was a bad trade off, but I still miss the SRAD. I put a lot of time in that bike. Anyone who has ever rebuilt a bike understands how you become attached to a machine.. Keep posting pics. I will try to get my new ones up soon....

That little KX65 is comic! How much smaller are the 60's and 65's than a new 85? I really like riding my 80, it's nice and light and easy to toss around...

This is my '95 DR350. I've had it about 4 years, big money pit, but it never, ever let me down, & I beat on it pretty hard the first couple years I had it.

I have an 01 KX250 parts pile that I'm slowly going to turn into my main ride. It looks just like this one except mine has an oversize IMS tank and black front fender.
Plans are to have some camo graphics made for it to fully cover all the plastic, ditch the oversize tank and definately drop in my 500 lump and find a back tire that will hold up to some serious woods abuse.
