Well,
I finally decided to see if I could fix my grandson's three wheeler. It a vintage Power Wheels three-wheeler I picked up a few years ago at a junk store for $2.00. I bought a 6 volt Power Wheels battery a few months ago for $1.00 from another junk store. Today I took off the motor cover and put a battery charger on the contacts. The wheels started turning. Next I put a jumper wires on the battery to motor. The wheels turned again. I then found out it was the foot switch that was bad. I went to Radio Shack and got a switch that looks like the old push button starters and mounted it under the foot switch. Everything now works but the battery was too low to go very far. Tonight I am charging the battery. We'll see how it does tomorrow. If that battery does not hold a charge, I think I'll wire it up to 12 volt motorcycle battery.
