My wife ( ) wants a quad and it has to be an automatic. We've heard from friends that the kfx700 is a really good stock bike. She doesn't like the look of the banshee, warrior, or raptor but if they are better than they kfx she's willing to get one of those. So does anyone here know anything about quads, and if so, whats the best quad to buy to keep the wife away from my toys!!!!!!

You'll probably get this post moved to the area for quads. I bought a new Honda 350 ES Rancher last month. I like it pretty well so far. I really have not got much chance to ride it yet. I have only been going out with my wife and son and they won't ride my 200x.

What are you gonna do with the quad? If your gonna go on sand dunes don't buy anythign that is low on power. My wife rode a trx250ute for a summer she always upshifted very well but never seemed to down shift properly so she was always into high of a gear when she came to a big hill.
She rides a 500 4x4 scrambler now and loves it. It has been a perfect bike never had any problems. She would like to try a vforce but until they get 4x4 we won't have one at our house.

the 700 vforce is not a good option. they are huge and are not good on trails. just my 2 cents. my unlce had one and unless your riding it on wide open trails, its not a good option.

something she can go anywhere on with out having problems really....sand, mud, water...she rides through it all. so whatever handles that...size don't matter...

ditto, theres alot of cheap power to be picked up in the clutch also.
Ive trail ridden the v-force and don;t find it all that much worse then any other ute/ large sport cruiser quad. they can be a handful on hills. again theres cheap power in the clutches.
