I'd like to make my 200x a little lower geared. What would be a good sprocket combo that would make it better for trail riding? I think its all stock now. It is geared so high compared to my Rancher.

My rides
85 200x
06 Rancher 2WD

well I have found that leaving the stock gearing alone (12/40) and going with 20" tires help out a bunch. leaving the gearing alone makes chain adjustment a lot easier. going with shorter tires will have a gear reduction effect on final drive ratio

You need a rear sprocket like this one below. I garuntee ( sp? ) it to slow you down. It will also give you some MEGA torqe ( great for pulling ).

P.S. It's a 80 tooth.

Easy to calculate if you know the gear ratios and sprocket. Realize that the two machines are different all around, the X is for going faster than the Rancher, the X is a racing machine.

A smaller front sprocket is an easy start. Easier to change on the trail. Sunstar makes decent sprockets.

PS Im in I.F.

PSS I dont remember which way the tires go, bigger = lower gear?

smaller rear tire will have more bottom end power, but i cant see why you would want to make it lower geared, when mine was bone stock i hated the gearing, i was used to riding 450 quads and hopped on my 200x and was like holy crap, but its a sport three wheeler why go to lower gearing, id be going for higher gearing
