1. Well, I had the cylinder head off because the trike blew a head gasket. Today I was changing the oil on it and cleaning it up so that when the head gasket arrives it will be nice and ready. And then I hit my head on the floor. Not my head--the Honda's head. I dropped it from a height of about 3-4 feet; it was in a box and I somehow slapped the box and flung out all the parts onto the floor.

The head a small nick on around the middle of the outer portion, near the water jackets. I already had the head shaved because it had a bad spot on it. The nick is about the size of a ball in a ball point pen. Is this a bad thing?

2. When I changed the oil in the tranny/clutch case there was antifreeze in it. To ask a newbie question, if I had a blown head gasket would water get into the gear oil? Does the oil in the tranny and engine even mix at all?

Thanks.

a blown head gasket would have caused the coolant in the case.or you didnt drain the coolant before removing the head.

I doubt that ding will do anything if I understand you correctly. If you blew the head gasket then anti-freeze would get into the case.

If you blew the headgasket, anti-freeze if this is a 250R would not get into the gearbox unless the crank seals were shot or the center gasket was gone.

Most probably that came from a water pump seal.
