Need some 250r axle bracket help.

I have an axle bracket that is shot off of my 86 250r forks. It seems like it wasn't even the right one for this model. I just happened to notice this and theres no way I'm gonna ride the machine with the bracket in this shape. Is there any way to fix? It's such a soft metal. Anyone have one that they want to get rid of if there is no way to fix? Anyone ever made a modified one to bolt on? My pics I tried to post are too big so they didnt get posted. Thanks.

Sorry, it's the clamp side of the forks. Not where the axle turns in but where the four studs are and that piece clamps down over the axle. I tried to post pics but are too big and at the moment I'm not on the same computer. Thanks.
