Not a bad deal at all, little bit of TLC that DX could look awsome.

i al;ready got a seat that is like brand new, a set of like new yellow rear fenders. how hard is it to put axle bearings in the dx. it is an 84. ill post some pics when i get the fenders and seat on. the atc 70 is an 78 i think. the tag says 78 but on the serial no. the last 2 digits are 73. so what yr is it. i need a set of plastics for it.

on the 70s carb i lost my idle adjustmend screw. will a 110 screw fit in it. i also have a suzuki lt 8o . think that will fit? i doubt i can buy them brand new now.
i am going to popst more pics of the dx tomorrow. i put the new plastics and seat on a little while ago.

To change the axle bearings, its easy if you have a press to get the axle out. The seem to lock up in there over the years and dont want to budge no matter how hard you hit them.

what do i need a press for? the axle still moves and everything.

Yea, the splines on the axle seize together, the axle will still turn and everything but where the diff splines onto it gets frozen up with rust.
I think the easiest way to do it is to take the whole rear end off and have a shop press it out, it takes about 10 seconds on the press. or you can do what swiney said and pound the hell outa it, both ways work ;) Good luck!

do i have to take aprt the rear end to get to the bearings ? to me i just think i am going to have to slide the axle out and put the new bearings in without tremoving the rear end.

Yea, you can just take out the axle to put the new bearings in. You dont have to take the whole rear end apart unless you want to put it on a press to get the axle out.
You might as well try banging the axle out first, make sure you put some wood between the hammer and the axle.
