Hello everyone I'm new to this site, I recently purchased a 1983 Honda Big Red 200 ,, I have a blast riding it. I was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction to find insurance I dont care about fire or theft . I just want insurance to ride some trails. Ive tried with a few companies and they said no way they would insure it and when i did find a place that would they wanted $1400 a year I figure thats way to much Ive heard of some people getting it for around 20.00 a month I wouldnt mind paying that or even a little more if I have to but not 1400
I live in south western ontario canada and help or leads would be greatly appreciated
Thanks everyone
Doug

I didn't registar it only for the simple fact that NY will take your money and won't build any trails for us.That is what that money is suppose to be for.

Insurance? What a joke! I would rather sell my trike than PAY to ride it.

I wish we had progressive here in ontario but we dont have it , I have my off road plate I got it yesterday I just put down that I drive it on my own land , which is really just a average size yard 100ft by 75 feet so anytime I want to ride i have to take it somewhere . I tried state farm but they wont touch it I'm not gonna give up just yet
Thanks for the fats replys

I pay for 47$ a year for as many trikes as I have. If I sell a trike or buy one I just add the VIN# to my policy. The reason I have it is if I were to hit another atv rider or something else of value, it will cover getting sued. Its very smart to have it in my opinion.

I only have my Rancher insured through Allstate. I have not checked to see what it would cost for the 200x. I figured insurance would cost more than its worth.

My rides
85 200x
06 Rancher

I use Foremost on an 85 ATC 250 R, and it is 125.00 per year.

I also have a trike in Ontario ( Niagara Region) and I don't insure the trike but I still ride sometime on the trails. I will try to have a plate soon...

To all my Canadian bros-

The government makes it nearly impossible to insure an ATC. If you can get it they will rape you. If you want to be insured on trails get a bike or a quad. I say hell with em and ride at my own risk. Only if I put away the money I should of spent on insurance ... the toys I would have.

I use Nation Wide (nation wide is on your side.....la la HAHA). But you have to remember, I have a house, 4 cars thru them too so they might give me a multi -trike discount haha.

Which nation is it? I don't carry any cuz I don't (have to) register mine here and what am I going to hit in the middle of nowhere? A cow maybe but they are pretty easy to see coming.
