05-23-2006, 10:01 PM
woodsman is just a novice class chuck.of course they will let you in,they call you a sand bagger.run the 4 stroke class, and put it on those 450's like i know you can!!

Derrick Adams
05-23-2006, 10:17 PM
Brandon, you better not shave till Tuesday!

TimSr
05-24-2006, 08:21 PM
Charlie, Woodsman is for newer racers, and thate the class you want. There are no size restrictions. The 4 Stroke class will hand you your rump!

You can always run the banshee and give Charlie's Raptor a run. Banshees arent really at much of a disadvanatge on that track.

:wondering yeah i know but banshees are so slow!!! no seriously,my stuff is cleaned and prepped for trike fest, and i am really hurtin for cash.plus the shee has no kill switch on it.actually, the only bike i have a killswitch on,is the tri-z.plus i have a sick ,sick seat on the shee that is waiting for a trike fest unveiling:twisted: oh yeah and some painted plastic.trike fest is our main priority this year.heck,i bought a site at wellsvill and only have been there 2 times:D .trike fest is no. 1 on priorities.

Hey, not counting him out at all! He has come a long ways in a short time. He just needs a dozen or so races under his belt before going to 4 stroke class. Most guys run Woodsman for a couple years before moving into the advanced classes. Expect plenty of competition in there. When you start to fidn there isnt enough of it, then its time to bump up a class.

3leggeddog
05-25-2006, 07:51 PM
yeah i agree with that too.i just always thought woodsman was kinda a beginner class.maybe i should run it and get spanked, then maybe i will have a little better understanding of the talent in that class.i think you will do fine in either class.

if you would have bought a trike last year,we wouldn't have this issue anyway!!!!,lol

I am interested in checking this track out .I will talk to the wife and see if theres an openeing this weekend to make it.Ill post back as soon as I no. DO I need to buy a CRA license and of course track fees. What wil I be looking at cost wise.Let me no if ya can.Ill try and post back tomorrow nite and have an aswer. I got the 10 hr tune up on the LTR done so its ready for some more riding. Hope I can make it. HAvent had much time to do anything riding wise with all the Baseball practices and games lately. ARF ARF!

TimSr
05-26-2006, 04:08 PM
Hey Nate, hope we see you there! This is an outlaw track, no CRA sanction. I cant remember gate fee but its typical, $7 or $8 I think. Race fee is $20 per class. There classes mimick but differ from CRA classes, but Ive seen you ride and youll have no trouble holding your own in 4 stroke. For that matter youre probably old enough for the geezer class, but it proabbly wouldnt be much sport for you to stomp all over a bunch of lame 3 wheelers!

Well I hope all are safe and have alot of fun tomorrow.I unfortunately tried my hardest and failed to get all the TO DO's done around the house.I still have much to do. I am very disappointed in not being able to make it but theres plenty more out there to make. Good luck all and win it big!!

ya i raced it in the 4 stroke class and did really good. i got 4th the first moto and 5th the second for an overall 3rd.

TimSr

This was the best time Ive had at Smith Road in years! This is also the first trike class ever run since 1999. Congratulatrions guys, we are on the at another local track. Hopefully we can keep enough attention on it so that a trike class becomes a permanent fixture there.
TimJr was thrilled to ride in our class, and he really enjoyed mixing it up with Charlie and his 2nd moto replacement in the back. I wish I could have seen it!
One of the other highlights was two kids maybe 8 or 9 years old hanging around after almost everbody had left. They asked each of us to sign the one kids hat, and the other's t-shirt. The I ran back to my truck and found that I had a few 3WW stickers left and gave them each a couple. The one kid asks how much they cost and I told him they were a gift for 3 wheeler fans. These kids are saying "wow, these are sooooo cool!" It was priceless.

Ya the threewheelers were definatly crowd favorites. They were the only class to get cheers and applause before and during the race! There were so many battles going on in it too. The first moto had Tim Sr., Derrick and Mark all mixing it up for 3rd-5th while i tried my hardest to hold off Tim Jr. If i would have been on a 200 instead of the 350 i would have been smoked! The next race was even better. Brandon and mark were scrapping for 2nd for 2 laps and derrick and Tim sr were trading spots for 4th. Finally on the 3rd lap brandon moved into 2nd and was on flyin bryans heels, actually tire to tire in at least one turn. Trikefest races are gonna be INSANE!

So B got 2nd. Awsome job Brandon. You're gonna be a force to reckon with at TF. What were you riding?? I don't see the black r. If you were on your 350x and kept up with Brian then he better watchout at TF with you on the Black Beauty. Let's see a list of place finishes. I see Derrick in second. Is that going into the first turn from the start? Need more info and PICS guys. You gotta realize us "armchair racers" live through you.

I went to Pitracer.com photo gallery and they a bunch of pictures, but not a single trike.

This guy did have some listed under Smith Road 5/29/06 on pages 20 and 21.

Also Mike (photographer from Sunset Ramblers) was working on a website to post pics on to sell from, but I cant find the card he gave me. I dont know if he has anything up yet or not. He took teh one Derrick posted, and his are the best quality shots of any trike photographer I have ever seen.
