does anyone think it would be possible to fit the dual pipes froma banshee on a blaster?

Anything is possible..........it would take a lot fab work. Unless you had someone who knew how to tune the pipes to the blaster engine, I doubt that it would run very well.

I'd have to say no. Dual pipes on a single cylinder 2 stroke would totally mess up the engine.

Yeah for sure.....
You can't run one pipe either becasue it's for 175cc cylinder...... Pipes on a 2 stroke can make a world of difference...... Like OSin86 said, the engine would be all screwed up and the power would just be mess, all over the place and crap. That's even if you could fabricate it.
I get what you saying on how it would look sick, but it would never look sick enough to warrent the hell you would go through....

2 stroke have been running with out expansion chambers for alot longer time then have with. The trick to 2 pipes on a single cyl (much less a single exhaust port like a blaster) would be 2 have the 2 chambers tuned identically for the running condition of the engine..................I am not saying it would be ideal, just possible.
side note............it's been done before (not on a blaster) http://www.motionpro.com/support/news.php
side note #2, what if the 2 chambers, divergent cones and tuned sections could be arranged to provide optimum pulses for different rpm ranges:naughty:

Possible with banshee pipes? No
Possible with total custom 1-offs? Maybe

Please tell me this is a joke. You could not possibly be serious about considering this idea. That is something some city boy 12 year old who has never picked up a wrench would think of.

I've actually heard of someone taking a single Toomey banshee pipe and putting it on a blaster but I have no idea what was involved fab wise or what the results were.

sad but true.......
Forget about it! By a nice BLASTER pipe and you'll be fine....

it is thinking outside the the box that has come up up with some of the best ideas (some lemons as well). I doubt anyone here is slamming you for having a ques................the practacallity maybe (really a word??????) . Those that have replied understand the what goes into a properly tuned 2 stroke pipe..........it doesn't make your ideas practacle......but still shouldn;t stop you from trying new and
perhaps outta the box ideas. (crazy ideas like yours made people put kx pipes on thier cr's for a better woods bike...........who would have guessed???????)
I would like you you to reasearch it "beyond internet forums" with proper sources like Grhamm bells (sic?) 2 stroke tuning or even a tsr type instruction. Maybe you and your outside tthe box thinking can come up with the latest and greatest???????

Arent the bends on the banshee pipes totally different, though? You'd have it sticking way the hell out there, or it might not fit at all because it would be sticking into the engine case or something.

You might be able to if you use the blaster expansion chamber and build it from there. You would have to make a one to two Y thingy and fab the shee pipes to fit the bike. You won’t have to worry about the pipes being balanced because you’re only running on a single cylinder. Stock banshee pipes are very restrictive as far as exhaling the exhaust but you will be increasing your flow by almost two so you will have to bump up your jetting some I would think. I had put a stock banshee silencer on a 200x before and it lost some top end but I didn’t re jet it because I wasn’t going to leave it on the bike. I just wanted to try it to see how it worked

So you think 3 pipes?

LOL No leave the expansion chamber on the quad and build the new system from the tail end of the expansion chamber. (the outlet) LOL

Okay, Im trying not to go nuts here. Less restriction is not an automatic good thing. More restriction is not an automatic bad thing. Two stroke pipes are finely tuned instruments whose purpose is to control the when, where, and hows of putting the flow restrictions and flow enhancments in all the right places for a desired outcome. This is done by varying the header length, and length, shape, and size of the expansion chamber, along with the size of the reduction at the end of the expansion chamber. One of several key factors in building a tuned pipe for a certain outcome is volume going through it which is mostly affected by engine displacement.
In plain English, this means that a dual pipes designed for a 350cc twin, rigged up to a single cylinder 200cc motor will make it run like TURD no matter what. If you wish to drive a TURD, then GO FOR IT! If you paint it, it might be a pretty TURD. If you dry it out, it might be a durable TURD. If you squish it, it will be a broken TURD. If you modify it, it will be a fancy TURD, but no matter what, it will still be a GREAT BIG TURD.
"I had put a stock banshee silencer on a 200x before and it lost some top end but I didn’t re jet it because I wasn’t going to leave it on the bike. I just wanted to try it to see how it worked" ---- The priciples of 4 stroke theory and operation are completely differnet than 2 stroke operation.
If you want a good exhaust for a Blaster, then go buy a Blaster exhaust. If you want a good exhaust for a Banshee, then go buy a Banshee exhaust.

for anything blaster go to projectblaster.com , they are the guru's of the blaster, along with trenga racing as well. and no, a banshees pipe wont work on a blaster. they have tons of stuff on their site, from disc brake conversion kits to motors to plastics, graphics, etc. you need it they probably have it.
