i went to change the oil and i noticed i stripped the threads on the block part and now i cant tighten the bolt, any quick fixes for now so i can go riding?

if its not too bad you might get away with useing a little teflon tape with maybe a little thred lock?

Oh man. I did that same thing so bad I cracked the case. Got it welded which fried the gasket and then tapped the drain plug hole to use a plumbing plug there. The fried gasket leaked so I had to goop a bunch of silicone all over the place to make it stop until I get around to fixing it properly.

they say to use a drain plug from a lt250r, its bigger than a 250r plug.

hey check with napa i think they have a drain plug thats oversized with slits in it so it will screw in tight and it has a smaller bolt in the center of it.

deathman is right retap it and grab an lt250 plug, cant tell the difference!

I used a helicoil to repair mine but using a larger bolt from an LT250 sounds like a good idea. I repaired mine without splitting the cases. Put some bearing grease in the flutes of the drill and tap to trap the chips and go real slow.
