im about to buy a 94 warrior that was completly rebuilt in september

it has one problem though

its hard to fire up, cranks over and over, fires sometimes, then finially it catches, and its mean sounding, runs perfect after that. Also, it wont idle unless the choke is on

im pretty its mostly stock except for the fmf megamax2 exhuast

it ran fine before he sent it for the rebuild

before i get into to much...could it be just a cleaning? or bigger pilot jet becuz of the pipe

feedback would be geatly appreciated

PS im gettin it for 2500 canadian...and it runs strong no boggin nothin just that little isue...

ONly starting with the choke on , even after it has been running and warm? Definitely a fuel delivery problem (Carburetor).

If the exhaust and intake has been changed, definitely up the main jet a few points, in my opinion. Also check your valve adjustment. That has a lot to do with hard starting, in certain instances.

i thought it might be the jets, but how do i check the valve adjustments, and want am i looking for? do *Edited* still think its a good deal at this price....hes put well more then 2500 into this past year....

i think it starts without the choke, but wont idle without it on

If it starts, but doesnt idle. Just try turning up the idle screw a little bit on the carb.

Id be looking at the pilot jet in the carb which can cause hard starting and the choke on thing. The valves too tight will cause hard starting but not likely teh must have choke on problem. If you just back it back from being rebuilt, why not take it back to whoever rebuilt it if it ran right before he sent it there?

Disassemble carb, remove all jets, and air screw, and blow air or carb cleaner through every orifice before reassembly.
