OK,
I was talking to a friend of mine today at the airport. He was my agriculture teacher back in high school. He saw my Kawasaki racing shirt I had on and asked me what I was doing since i graduated 100 years ago. I said well I mes with alot of motorcycles and dirtbikes, and build a few crotch rockets and build a few 3 wheelers. He said 3 wheelers ! , I said yeah ! you got one.? He said no, but I got a bunch of fresh HONDA 350X ENGINES COMPLETE WITH CARBURETORS AND OIL COOLERS. MOST ARE 1986, AND A FEW 1987 MODELS.I said man ! .... what are they like ? He said some of them were still in the woden boxes from HONDA *Edited*.S.A. . He said they had 15 of them but one got stolen awhile back so now they only have 14 of them. I said how did yall get them. He said when they banned the 3-wheelers, that they (HONDA) donated all the engines they had left to schools with the restriction that none could be used in another 3-wheeler, and that they were to be used for continuing education, and none were to be sold. But ol' SMACKK GOTS THE HOOK UP !! I asked him about donating them to my cause, (CAUSE I AIN'T GOT NO MONEY). He said hollar at me in about two weeks, cause I'm going to be gone for the next week, but hollar at me in 2 weeks and I will have the engines for ya. I may not get all 14 of them but but I will get a few, but he says they have no small engine class to use them in, and some of the students were constantly trying to skrew with them, it would be a burden off his back.... So GOOD LORD WILLIN AND THE CREEK DONT RISE .... OL' SMACKK MAY HAVE HIT THE 350X MOTHER LOAD....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YALL PRAY FOR ME....!!!:naughty:

I don't know what I am going to do with them...I may sell half and keep half...for sale a few years from now...? I was just surprised that he had them... He said Honda ripped them a new azz on them. They promised them small engine training to get them to take the engines, and he said they begged them to take them. He said HONDA said, that it was too costly to breakdown the complete trikes and part htem back down so they donated the complete engines with oil coolers, and carburetors. bolt in and go... He said some of them were sawed out with a reciprocating saw and still had the motor mounts on them in the crates. Depending on the way they were pulled. but he said all they had were engine components with carbs and coolers,. He said a few years back they had a complete 350x that ran, but they re-did the skool and he doesnt know what happend to it, he said they used the old skool gym for a storage building and it may be there, he aid it was an 86 model and was mint the last he saw. never ridden just started a few times. he has taught at the skool since 1987 the year of the ban on 3-wheelers....... He is supposed to check on the complete trike for me also....I hope its still there, man imagine a new 1986 HONDA ATC350X in 2006 ... 20 years later.....!

I imagine,
They should be pretty easy to selll.....and some will be for sale, I just dont know how many I am getting yet..... I dont know if I will get them all or just a few since they don't have a small engine class to justify keeping them......I want to see the 350x that is at the school.... I may raffle it off if I get it......

I talked to a guy one time years ago who told me that he had seen dozens if not hundreds of 3 wheelers dismantled and scrapped in Binghamton NY. He said they just sawed the frames up, some engines were removed, some were just crushed as is. all new machines...crushed down. That would have really sent me into a tizzy.

I had a similar experience with a shop teacher around Brooklyn, AR. Same story, but he ebay'd his for $1200-1500. New never started, complete. I tried to trade him a running trike for it, but he was set on getting $ for a dirtbike. Great find Smakkk! If they are close to my area, lemme know and I'll help you tote em or help if you need it.

Same find here in Ohio. At a training facility. I can't get them to come off them though because of the ban. I also heard they had a complete 1986 200x. Zero miles in mint condition. I'm still working on the issue. Dozens of complete 250r, 200x, and 350x motors. I told them I would donate a complete Mac Tools toolbox for the whole lot. I'm not holding my breath on it yet.

A local tech school had a bunch of honda donated engines, complete cbx 6 cyl bikes and other stuff........but no trike stuff. The instructor would/will not budge an inch on selling any of it, everything must be ripped apart and scrapped:( He is worried about losing hondas support and donations.

yea that sucks. They would rather scrap em instead of getting some money for the school for them.

The program got to keep the funds from the scrap price..............but when you compare scrap weight to the sale of 5 complete cbx bikes (with 5 or less parking lot miles) :wondering :wondering :wondering
Granted they had been taken apart and rebuilt multiple times by students, so I doubt they were 100%. The year I was there honda donated a new cr250 and f4i engine. Harley had donated a few machines aswell (cut the vin from the frame). Sthil and mercury marine were also good supporters.
