So first off -- thanks for all of the advice about the Yamaha that I was looking at -- I made an offer on it, but the owner wanted a little more that I wanted to pay for that condition. -- who knows? he may still call me back. But in the meantime, I'm still looking -- got the fever now!!! What do you guys think of this ad:

What do you think a good price is for this? and would this be a good trike for general trail riding and occaisional dunes (central WA -- not super fine sand). Thanks!

350 to 400 max. KLT's are an awesome bike IF you can keep them running, it has a dial in rear diff which is a great feature, real low center of gravity which works well for an "amateur rider" plastics are really tough -- only has electric start, don't ride without a buddy, if it quits, you've got major issues, ALWAYS take a tow rope and find / make a front rack to pull from.... great trike for general use, 50 mph top end, lots of power down low, the only hardtail 4 stroke with a full clutch other than the KLT 250.

Yeah, that's a nice looking trike, real shiny! Only thing though, You don't see those Kawi 250 four strokers too often, like the SX & the YTM's, so getting parts might be difficult/expensive.

i agree, try to fnd yourself something more common, like a honda 200x or in that range. there are plenty of them still around and parts are readily availible still for the most part. remember also, shiny paint doesnt make the trike run. looks are one thing yes, but definately look at the mechanics of the bike, listen to it if you can, or een take a ride on it if you can. that way you get to see how it really runs and feels. keep searching , you'll find something i am sure. dont forget the classifieds on here either, lots of trikes on here.
