Oiling uni air filter

What are you guys oiling new uni filter with?
I dumped a pint of 2 stroke oil in a gallon bag, stuffed filter in bag, completley saturated it, squeezed out filter and installed.
Will 2 stroke oil be ok to use?

I just use motor oil, it should work fine the oild is just to catch the dirt and make it stick.
