We need a new thread for this!
Hope we can keep the three wheeler class alive there. Also we need more midsize to compete. Sure, your probably not going to knock off the high performance guys out front with a 200X, but those mid pack and rear of the pack battles are just as fun. TimJr needs some competition, and if he can go out and race with the big dogs on his 200X, nobody else has an excuse worth posting! You dont have to be in the front to have fun. Help make a name for vinatge 3 wheeler racing in Ohio by showing up!

Wow! Thats super if we get that many to show. Who knows, some day we could end up with more than one trike class! TimJr is looking forward to racing with Brandon. Im kind of thinking he may be more competition for us than for TimJr, but it will be interesting to see how he does.

Mayeb Jacob could come too, and race his Zinger in the mini class!

Helmet cam willk be rolling, but you have to get in front of me to get on tape!

Can Brandon race in the advanced mini class? I'm sure Jacob will be up for that!

Just got off the phone with George. Brandon Hall qualifys to run the 85 in Senior Mini and Jacob Hall qualifys to run the Zinger in Junior Mini.

Brandon is also going to race in the 3 wheeler class. He may have his hands full in that Senior Mini class though, some of those quads are fast!

My moneys on Jacob to sweep the Junior Mini class though.

Brandon does qualify at Smith Road, since they dont enforce the auto-clutch requirement, or the oversize frame/axle provisons that the CRA and AMA does, but I dont think he will find that class very competitive, and they cut the track way down, and take all all the technical stuff out for the mini quad classes. It will will be an easy sweep for a 1st place trophy, but I think he would feel a lot more satisfaction and competitiveness in running the big trike class. I know he rides faster than TimJr, and I highly doubt he would end up in the back of the pack. Maybe he can run both, but I think he would have a lot more fun and be more closely matched running the full track.

Jacob can ride in the 70cc and under class. He will have a very competive run. As I said they take out most of the techincal stuff, where he has a serious advantage. HIs trike is quick on take off, but they will out distance him on the long straighaways where he will top out.

They had some confusion on their mini classes a while back, and I helped them write accurrate descriptions for each class, so I know them well.

The boys & I will be there for sure. I think Its cool they can run In the mini classes. I have never seen the track before & The wife Is worried about Brandon running with the big bikes on the 85. I told him to leave room & not to push his self to run with the bigger bikes. He Is a brave kid, so I hope I can make him use his head & be smart. We'll see you there guys.

Putting the mudders on right now. Do I even need to say TimJr and I will be there? Also, I havent spoken to him, but Flyin' Brian doesnt miss Smith Road, and the muddier, the merrier, so you can counthim as a "for sure".

I kind of think youll be needing MX tires by 2nd moto though. I can almost guarentee that in light of recent weather, George has not disked the track, so if you dodge teh ruts, it may not be nearly as muddy as you might expect.

Practice for us (big quads) starts promptly at 8:00-8:15, and you need to be signed up before practice, so I usually try to arrive there by 7am so I can unlaod, get thinsg together, and enjoy a fresh cup of track coffee. Brian usually doenst run practice, and arrives much later and just walks around to check out the track to see what changes have been made.

Your Holeshots will be fine, maybe a bit much if its dry if anything. Just watch for high centering on the swingarm in the ruts, which shouldnt be out of the ordinary for you Banshee people!

well it looks like i cant run.was checkin the bike over was down on coolant in the overflow, went to check my oil and here it is.what do you think it is,waterpump seal?i used about a coffee cup of coolant this weekend at wellsville.all i know is i am friggin pizzed off.for some reason, every time i want to race you guys this crap comes up.here are some pics.this was done 10 minutes ago

Hey Rob, did you have it in any water? Mine used to look like that EVERY time I went to Wellsville.

TimSr
07-03-2006, 10:49 PM
Im also wondering how long it took to get like that. You could probably change it, run a moto, check it, and change it again if necessary to get you through the race day. I think my first clutch had more water/oil hours than oil hours on it, but that was from Wellsville water crossings.

Hey Rob, did you have it in any water? Mine used to look like that EVERY time I went to Wellsville. i leave that to greg.lol.it started this after trike fest.i know the seal is good.i have a pretty good idea what is happening now after thinking about it.i will be taering it down today for diagnosis.as for being in water at wells,i avoid it like the plague.plus i routed my case breather up the front frame tube under the air box,to keep from sucking water in there.and this weekend at wells water was in short supply.it was so dusty i had to keep the air filters clean twice.it did not look like they even got a 10th of the rain we did.you guys have fun:(
