does anyone know how well these track in the sand. How is it compared to running a mowhawk on the front?

it does good, really grabby

They grab so good in the sand that when you are riding hard you can feel the roost from the front tire hit the insides of your boots.

I had one on my 200x and its real sticky to the ground. I didn't like it for track use, trail use it is better. It grabs sand pretty good, where I ride is sand trails that have heavy quad double ruts. I use a dunlap, that is very similar to a stock tire and I do mostly track riding.
