Well guys it not the one you all looking for BUT it is a honda tacho and it works on ALL 4 strokes..even worked great on the 70....(pictured on a 200x)..not check the 2 strokes yet..got to make a harness for the pilot before i can check it reads right.....
it is dead easy to fit ....one wire clips on HT lead the other goes to ground...it has it's own battery so no hassle there....it also has a hour meter which would be cool to work out the service times.....
and the price is only $45 from sevicehonda:D :D :D :D :D

they make an aftermarket tach called a reddi-tach. Looks the same as that one... It also has its own battey... they are like $25.00 .. I have one on the WARRIOR I just got home, and a pile of them at my dealership.

Take the part number ( on the box in the one picture ), then go to servicehonda.com and order it that way. ;)

Does it work on the twostrokes? Figure that out yet?

look at the honda one mindy_mart is selling. It is for an outboard but if it will work it resembles the hondaline one we all dream of

Pete will have to confirm this, but I believe he has tried that outboard one. As it is for a 3 cylinder engine it reads totally wrong on the ATC's:(

It will work, if it is for a two stroke it will work on the rs if it is for a 4 stoke which would be rare it would work on the x's. Tachs only work of the first cylinder for their readings.

I hope it works but every tach I've owned you have to select the amount of cylinders or it will ready wrong. IDK

It's for a 3 cylinder outboard motor. I don't think each piston fires the same per revolution as a single cylinder motor.

Here's one on EBAY now. Real cheap too!!!

I simply cannot believe how much alot of people pay for speedos and tachs. IMO they are good for bragging rights and thats about it. I'd pay about 25$ for either of them..
