if it is four stroke,i wont buy it.ever. we are big shee fans and have heard no official 4 stroke replacement for the original shee. i think yamaha will just let the shee go to rest in silence. i dont think they can even top the banshee.and i dont think a twin 500 4 stroke ,will have any benifit over the yfz 450 and rappy 700.i have heard rumors about a yzf 250 4 stroke engine in a redesigned blaster though.that would be cool

well actually as long as they can pass emissions test they will be here, ktm still has them on there dealers list for next year, 300 2 strokes, and also there 200 both offroad bikes, the 2 stroke race bikes will also be around even though very few still use them.

I don't think the new 2 stroke emission laws affect dirt bikes, because they are considered closed coarse race only machines. I might be wrong but seems like I read that somewhere.
I sure hope yamaha comes out with a good replacement for the blaster. My boy is gonna need somethign in the next few years.

well the one thing about ktm which is good is the titles for there offroad bikes dont say for offroad use only, so i wonder if on the 2 strokes it will say it now...

ski doo will be running 2-stroke snowmobiles for a few years yet. It isnt that hard to pass emissions with them. I would like to see a 750 twin 2 stroke banshee

well i know we will see everything become fuel injected, most of the 450s are gonna be by next year(dirtbikes i know but are the quads?)
now that is something i want to see done, fuel injected twin 2 stroke 500 shee. i would buy that for sure.

guess we'll just have to wait and see!!! and why wouldnt they revamp there highest selling atv ever! that would just be stupid on there part.....
really it seems like the manufactures are content with the models they have now.i know one thing though, the prices of bikes is really starting to sky-rocket.i dont think i could afford a new shee even if they built one.

That Phazer makes about 80 hp. Would be nice to see it in high performance chassis. Let the Shee rest, its earned it.

all you need to do is drop a GS850 engine into your shee and your good to go ;)

I hear that....thats why I ride a 3wheeler more performance for my buck.
That article in dirtwheels (which seemed to be pure speculation) also said something about being 4 valves per cylinder. That makes for a lot of extra moving parts.

Maxpower/RPM's made a YFZ 523 that would beat modified banshees without nitrous... so I think a 4-stroke replacement for the Banshee wouldn't be too hard to do. You'd just miss the whining sound... :)

I don't think yamaha would mess with the nearly unchanged banshee just to keep it going with a 4stroke..

Sand fest in 99 i believe it was Duncan racing had a banshee with a TZ750 2 stroke motor..Had 2 pipes on each side and a blue nos bottle in the back..It was in a few mags..Actually it might have been around 2001..Anyway i saw him race a few times and nothing even came close..A TZ750 in a bashee frame LOL now THATS FREAKING POWER! I look around my bedroom and see if i can find the mag it was it..It might even been on the net!

thats pretty unimaginable considering that the whatever the place is called is making a permanent ban on the prodution and distributing of all 2 strokes in 07 due to emmisions regulations in the main 48 states
