To Derrick Adams - AKA the Gorilla,
Well - after all the smack talk and a years worth of waiting - it happened again.
TRACKSIDE REPORT FOR TF 06 4 STROKE ADVANCED:
Derrick had me by 1/8 of the track or more in the 4 stroke advanced, and on the last lap, you had troubles - putting me in second place and you in 3rd for the final score. Between my hand grip not staying on the handle bars and stalling out in the 2nd lap in turn one - I was not doing well. Not unlike last year when also, it was the final lap of the moto, when in the last turn, you had a little problem that put me in 2nd and you in 3rd, after following you the whole race.
What to say - well - there is always next year. I have beat you two years and both times came from you "sinking the 8-ball out of turn" so to speak. This coming year I will sharpen my skills - as I am sure you will too - I hope to join the OTC at some races in Ohio this year as well. Last year was a tight race - this year was not even close - you crushed me, although conditions could not have been worse.
I would just like to set the record straight for anyone who did not see the race, and only the standings, that Derrick Adams out-rode me the whole race, yet I placed second and he placed 3rd! Well, I guess all in the game of racing, but I still feel a bit guilty having 2 second place trophies from this class and you having 2 third place trophies from this class.
I will conclude by saying this - keep sharp, cause next year am gunning for you full force, and would like to actually beat you in a straight up - better conditioned - race.
