View Full Version : Just bought a Polaris ,need info !!

Well I kicked it around for a bit and ended up buying this Polaris Trailboss from a friend !! He could'nt get it running so I took it home and with in 1 hour I was riding it! It is a 250 2 stroke of course! I need help identifying it,where do I get some #'s ,so I can tell ! And I will be needing alot of stuff for it ,and once I figure what year it is I will be needing some more Help!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Got any pics? That would help. When you find the VIN, I beleive that it's the 10th digit that tells ya the year. Not sure where to look for the #'s, if the sticker is off of the hood by the oil tank filler.

There are usually 2 # on the machines, on my older quad(1987) the quad model number is just under the seat, look around on yours and try to find it and post it up on here, I should be able to tell you the year.

OK - Here is a few pic's!! What do I have ,it seems to be in decent shape!! Does it look somewhat complete? How much is it worth ? Are they fast? Any known troubles with whatevr year this thing is? You guy's hopefully have some answers?? Thanks

That looks like a 87-89 250 Trailboss. PM Swinehart. He can tell you for sure. I think they are pretty decent bikes when they are straightened out.:beer

I think that would be around the 89-93 years, they are not the fastest machine but they have alot of torque.
