manco 308 3 wheeler

Does anyone know where I can get a throttle cable for a manco three wheeler. Parts are very hard to find for this. My brother bought one and all it needs is this cable to get it road worthy again.

I grew up on one of those! hours of fun spent on that thing. I dont think that the throttle cable is much more than something off of a weedeater. Remove the old one and then go to a lawnmower repair shop and see if you cant match something up. The same thing broke on the one I rode but Motgomery Ward was still around then and we just went there to get a new one.

It didn't have one when we bought it. nothing hooked up to the carb. That is why i would like an original or maybe a diagram showing how it is to be hooked up. everything I have tried just has not worked.
