200ES no spark.

Well I finally got hte 200 out and started working on it. I got the wiring figured out with the help of the diagram. I am getting no spark, and neither the neutral nor reverse lights work. I dont know if its a wire that I am missing or what. Any help would be appreciated.

If I can remeber my ES there is a fuse underneth the seat. I'd check that first.

The guy that had it before me hardwired past that, i put another holder and the newer style fuse in it. I am going to trace out the entire system in the morning, just wanted to get a few extra suggestions and step back cause im so frustrated with it.

If it is a 1984, they were know for the CDI boxes to go bad. This was a one year only CDI box. There is a group that rides them in parades here, 1984 Big Reds only. A buddy of mine has a small bike shop here, and he keeps them on stock, just for those guys. Will pretty much wipe out a hundred dollar bill. Unless you get lucky and find a good used one.

I fixed it guys, i was a little confused about the wiring but now i got it. I dont have the right parts to fix it the right way now but I do have a plexiglass box with 5 toggle switches and a starter button:). I have fire, it turns over good, and the headlight has been rewired to work without the butchered extension cord that was running straight from the battery. Now to get a new carb and oil seal so she will atleast be ridable. I think I am going to like her, not as much as the z but more than enought to justify the $100 price tag.
