Does a stock Banshee have a chrome plated rear axle?? The one on this quad is chrome, the rest of the shee is stock low hrs. year 2000 and there is no sticker on the axle. I can't imagine that the stock rear axle is chrome....
How the heck do I find out what model the axle is?? I'll have to take some closeup pics....
Should I paint the uncoated Toomey T5 pipes high temp flat black? They are next to new and have no damage at all but do have some surface rust that should clean up easy. Do people buy the bare finish for looks or because they are cheaper?? If for looks, I'll just clean them up with WD40 and emery cloth.
I'm just gonna part out this SHEE and get another ATC...
banshee axles stock were gold in color sometimes silverbut never chromed. if it is a aftermarket axle it will be the same size all the way accross.the stock axles tapered down at the ends near the hubs.it is possible some one had the stock axle chromed.need to see pics to tell you for sure.the toomey pipes were available in bare metal finish. this made them a little less expensive.i think they were like a 130 dollars cheaper than chrome plated pipes. iwould clean them up real nice and they guy who buys them can finish them they way he wants.nice toomey t-5 pipes bring around 300-400 on ebay. you are gonna make money on this big time.you will be able to buy a nice trike with the money you make.if you can hang on for a few months ,the ebay banshee market right now is moderate at best.but the aftermarket stuff always brings good money anytime.

Seems like I can sell the frame and the rear fender and get what I've got into this thing
I may part most of it through other boards, EBAY is definately flooded with any condition Shee parts. These parts are in great shape and I think I can do better than a 9.99$ auction on most of them.
Most people like low hour clean parts versus unknown EBAY crud.

what you want for the chromed axle???
Not sure, I need to find out what axle it really is first.
I may keep some parts for a Blaster project which is more my speed, and part out everything else.
